STARTED NEW THREAD FOR AUGUST APPLICANTS... ANYBODY WAITING FOR BWOP APPLIED ON AUGUST ? I APPLIED ON AUGUST 10 ONLINE.

I applied online on August 6th.. my passport has been with CIC since last two weeks for CEC PR visa stamping.. will be doing landing in Jan 2016 as I already have travel plans.. thus need an extension on BOWP

I received a request for more information last week. They asked for my "Alberta" AOR but of course I don't have that. I spoke with the call centre and they said they might mean the CIO one so I sent that with an explanation letter.

Due date for this information was this Thursday, so I'm hoping I see an update or approval this week.

I have submitted my application for extension of BOWP on Aug 19th (Paper based) and the case processing centre, vegreville got it on Aug 20th.
I have a very important travel plan in 1st or 2nd week of December.Hopefully I get my BOWP before that or else I will be screwed up :-(

Guys Any Idea, we if have any chance that the application will get processed before mid of Dec 2015 ?

it should be processed by December first week .. as per my calculation ...than lets see ...u never knows about this immigration process...

I've applied online for 2nd BOWP + SOWP set on August 27th.
I got a message confirming it was approved on 13th of November

Total wait time: 79 days.

By now most of us applied for the second BOWP, so I doubt that's the reason. Maybe they were in a hurry to approve it before I get PR and withdraw the application ;-)

haha that sounds right.. they wouldnt wanna lose $510 ..

unfortunately in my case, even though i already got COPR, i still need BOWP extension as i have travel plans mid dec and coming back mid jan.. planing to do landing only then thus i cannot retract m BOWP extension application

Will I be able to enter Canada by either US border or Plane with the bridging work permit or I shall also apply for the multiple entry visa.

you can enter through border on private vehicle without travel visa.. but for any commercial travel like plane, commercial buses etc you need travel visa else the carrier will not let you board

1. No, that is not correct. Unless you have only visited the US from Canada, then you can re-enter on the strength of your BOWP, but if you have been outside US or St. Pierre et Miquelon you require a TRV.

I didn't know that ...I thout we can enter through Canada from states with expired trv from road only.
are you sure somebody can travel through air ..with expired trv from states...

I applied for BOWP for me and my wife under one application online on August 20, 2015 and got approved on November 13, 2015.

This will be my second BOWP. The first one expired on November 16, 2015.

I am still waiting for them (me and my wife's work permits) to arrive in my mailbox.

Will my BOWP extension get approved even if COPR has been issued to me? I am not planning to do landing till January.
