do you know if the PR card will automatically send to us ? or do we have to apply it separately? meantime, how about the SIN cards, because we have sin cards because we have work permit, so we have to apply as well?

PR cards will be only send to you after you do your landing. The Visa officer will take your information at the time of landing, review your documents and PR card will be sent to you...It takes a month, I have heard.

You will need to re-apply for a new SIN because the SIN you have at the moment starts with a 9.... When you become a PR of Canada, your SIN will start with a different number... My daughter who is a Canadain has a SIN with a 6. Make sure you file your tax with the old SIN for the year 2010.

sept 15 is right. if you are unable to exit, you can request for an interview and even you did not get your pr card yet you can still renew your SIN card if you are already in Canada after your interview.

cannot estimate when a decision will be made, but we assure you that you
will hear from us once the officer reviews your file.

Yes, I am 90% sure because a final review would mean if all the documents are in line and submitted if requested. SHould not take too long. Where did you get your email from. I got the response:

I also got from the above email id. I specifically asked them whether background is complete in my mail. But no affirmative reply to that question. May be we can assume that background check is over. When I saw the reply, I was hoping that it will come in next two weeks. But if sept15 got it on Feb 10......................
