Hi all,
I received ppr just now.

I had send a status request mail yesterday, and got the reply today with the words "Your file is in line for a final review by an immigration officer. We cannot estimate when a decision will be made, but we assure you that you will hear from us once the officer reviews your file." After 20 mts, I received ppr mail.

I am sure that all those who sent application in March and did their medical in July, will get their ppr by this month end itself.

Guys, Congrats to all of the ones that recently got PPR, this is good news....

superboy! i got my ia today saying that i have to pay the rprf. I know you didn't send yours when you initially submitted your application. how did you send it to them? and what documents did you include? thanks much!

Just get the draft from your bank, not sure if you are married, if so get the total amount for both in the draft, write a nice cover letter saying this is your RPRF payment draft and put your file information, name and date of birth and sign it, put it in an envelope and send it to Buffalo...

Thank God!
Just received my passport request this morning. See my time line for details.
I hope that those of you who are waiting for PPR will receive one of these days.

Congrats fpn on PPR!!!

Can you let us know what docs were requested from you on Jan 21 and when did you send those docs to Buffalo? They also requested some documents from me, which I sent and just trying to see what time line they will request PPR after docs have been sent

Thanks alot!

Thanks vbomb.
Buffalo requested pcc from three different countries where I used to work, but I never sent one. Told buffalo that it's impossible to secure pcc because I returned back the work permit prior to leaving the country. After exchanging few emails, finally the officer waived the 3 pcc's.
A day before I got the ppr, I emailed them up asking the status of my application, also told them that my employer/sponsor is interested to know the status. The next morning received ppr through email.
Wishing you get yours one of these days.

Thank you and congrats again!

Hi.....You're right. It took 6 weeks for me to get my CAIPS notes. Sorry, nothing in my notes gives me any reason for the delay. No information on background checks etc. Although my BFD date is March 1st, I am still a little skeptical, because my belief is they are behind schedule. There are applicants ahead of me who have not received their pprs.

Got my CAIPS notes yesterday. Things that pop out:
-my bring forward date is April 1st, 2011.
-no medical or security decesions have been made yet despite them having received clearance from RCMP.

I emailed them last week and haven't heard anything back yet.
Frustrating to say the least :(

@chigirl
any updates on your part yet?

Hi winnipegmb, did you get IA? Did CIC say that your case is under background check?

What do you mean, did you get a bank draft?...or personal draft (this is not allowed). I recommend to put name and file # at the back of the draft..

Hi All

Finally I got my PP with visa stamped till date of medicals expiry (Aug-2011).

Good luck to everyone.

I did get an IA dated Oct 28 2011. They did respond saying I was under a background check back in November. But it seems it's over since the cookie cutter response I get doesn't say "we have requested background information from other government offices".
