Thanks Nadeem for you reply. So then, I think its better to apply with fresh IELTS exam right?

Hey BK11,

Yes, you can apply CEC without touching your FSW2 application, I think once your IELTS results expired, they will request you for a recent copy of IETLS test. But I know CEC is much faster than FSW2. Hope for the best.

All / Andy,

I have a question to ask to the group, could be related to the post by BK11 - IELTS score is generally valid for 2 years. what if your processing crosses IELTS expiry date. At the time of applying IELTS was valid but processing may take more than 2 years ( in case of FSW) and so ...is there possibility that VO may require you to write another IELTS exam.

Thanks,
Lal

I just heard from my local MP that CIC is doing my background check. Does anybody know how long this process takes.

Hello everyone! I
have a question has anyome got already bridging Open Work Permit?

Hi all,

I'm new here, so perhaps the following question has be answered many times before, but I couldn't find it. The status of my FSW application says:

"We received your application for permanent residence on July 8, 2011.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on September 30, 2011 to (...)"

Should I be worried that it doesn't state that my application has been sent to / received by Buffalo (and presumably to Ottawa after the closing of Buffalo)? It appears that some people see such statements in their status.

Thanks for your help!

As they mentioned in their web that unless we inform you in writing, you should assume that your application is processing normally. No worries at all. eCas is not reliable too. Some gets updated, some doesn't. The only thing you can do is wait to hear from them as most of us here.

Click the above link
Enter your postal code . It will give you the details of your local MP. Call him, and if u r residing in Canada u hv the right to seek help from them. or u can directly step into their office. They will assist u.
Thats the beauty of Canada.. LOL

SAB_217,

This background check is very vague ...no one knows how much time it takes...so its way for MP office to defer your inquiry forever....I would rather recommend you to trust your "wait" skill...

I requested my MP's office to get a status update on my file. Yesterday, they informed me that my file was looked at on Jan 28th and they are currently doing background checks. My file should be complete by July this year.

I don't know what they mean by complete, but anyways, I thought I should share. They apparently told my MP's office in December that they'll complete my file in May and now it's July.

Even I got the same answer. Thanks

Hello Everyone,

Ok so is this common,

I received my medicals and went to doctors office for medicals and after 10 days I called them for the tracking number and they did gave me one and it was send out by USPS certified mail so now I put that tracking number on Canadian postal or USPS portal it says "receiver not in the office note left for pickup from postal office " and I did called Canadian Postal they told me the same thing what ever it says on on-line portal, so do Medical center pickup parcels from postal service I have no idea if some one can guide me here will be really helpful.

And also from my side I did send CPP-O PCC/RPRF & confirmation pages received from doctors office through UPS and they received that, so say now if my medicals which doctor send out get lost and CPP-O has confirmation that I did medicals on time will they ask me again to do it or will they contact doctors office.

Any one in this situation or any one with some idea pls help me

Thank You,

Hello Anuj,

Regarding your delivery notes, it may be that your parcel may not have reached in business hours, so they left a note. Don't worry. They will pick it up in next business day.

Regarding doctor & CIC connection, designated medical practioner are only designated to conduct your medical exam. It will be evaluated and decision will me made by CIC. If your parcel don't reach CIC, then for sure you have to do medical exam again.
