Buffalo to Ottawa Transferred Cases(FSW) - Pls join here

They received my case in May 2010, and I submited everything including landing fee, medical, FBI last June, but the status still shows in process. It is almost 9 months, nothing new yet. Any suggestions ??

Hi. I got a PPR request today from Ottawa (Transferred case Buffalo - Ottawa).
I am outside Canada (in TX, USA) and not sure if its legal to courier passport internationally to Ottawa.
My address has remained unchanged during this whole process over the past 3 years.
Dont understand if it was a oversight by CPP-Ottawa to request for passport internationally or its OK to courier it to them.
Did you have to courier your passport domestically to Ottawa or was it international courier?

I sent an e-mail last week about my status. Today I received this e-mail.

Dear Sir/Madam,



Thank you for your message concerning your application for permanent residence.



Your file has been transferred to this office in Ottawa for processing. It will be reviewed by one of our officers, with priority given to applications that were received at CIC before 1 September 2011.



Medical results: Please note that we will be requesting an extension of the validity of these results, to minimize the number of applicants who will be required to undertake new medical examinations.



Case status:

An officer will be in contact with you in due course. In the meantime, we would ask for your patience and for you not to send follow-up requests for status to our office, unless you fall into one of the categories listed below.



When should I contact CIC?



You must notify Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:



• Changes in your personal circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child, death of a family member, a marriage or a divorce;

• Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number);

• Appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual;

• Decision to withdraw your application.



You have the option to withdraw your application at any point in the process. You will be refunded the RPRF if you have already paid it.

When should I send another e-mail_? Because they received my application on April and I didn't get any news until 28 February and until today from CIC.

So my MP's office got back to me today regarding my application. So they have promised that my case will be finalized no later then December 2013. It could be before but the lastest would be at the end of this year. This wasn't what i wanted to hear to be honest. but lets hope it gets finalized sooner.

I'm in Ontario. End of 2013 seems too long. They couldnt tell me if my file has been assigned to a officer....they didn't give much information.

i have almost same timeline as yours. Can you provide more details about your friend who got interview request at Detroit office. Like his timeline. That would help to understand what time frame to expect our case to be finalize...

The Detroit office is closed. So i'm not sure why he's going there for an interview.

How can your friend get call from Detroit office.It is not processing such cases?.
