It is up to your doctor's office. Call the offices in your area and ask them describing the situation. Also update CIC with copy of new passport (new number), they might ask you for new forms with a new passport number.
Thanks Alex .. I will check with the doctors around here to see if they will accept the drivers license .. Will keep everyone updated regarding this.

CIC asked for the following documents:

1. Updated evidence of settlement funds (showing 6 months deposits/withdrawals history) for myself / my spouse.

2. Original FBI certificates for myself and my spouse.

3. And police certificate from the state where we are currently residing.

4. Updated letter of reference from my current employer confirming employment along with a detailed description of my duties OR proof of my current enrollment and attendance at an educational institution. ::)

P.S. Here is the problem. I do neither work nor enrolled in an educational institute. I am on dependent visa.

I need to mention another thing that CIC is addressing me with a new application number which has been my file number from the
very beginning. And suggested me to quote my complete application number on my correspondence.

Got PPR today, sent updated documents less than a week ago. It appears it's taking long for passports to come back these days?

Urgent question
Hi everybody,
I am going to send requested documents to CPP-Ottawa, not sure by email or mail or both! Do you have any suggestion? From the officer email, it seems I have both option, the email says:
-------------------------
Please submit the requested documents/fees to the following address:
xxxx address xxxx

Please note:
When sending the requested documents by email, ensure that they are smaller than 5MB and that each document is attached individually.
------------------------

By the way, if I email, can I send 2-3 emails, as the size will be more than 10 MB.

Thanks

It depends on the document: police certificate and passport have to me mailed, rest can be emailed (unless you have other instructions). When emailing documents for every email you will get automated respond - if you did not get it - they did not receive it. Send emails with less than 5MB in total with attachments, if attachment is more than 5MB, send it in the separate email. Inform them in the email that you are sending a few emails (Email 1/5, 2/5, ...). In a week or so you can also send them an email nicely asking to confirm that they received all the documents.

Congratulations! Yes, it takes 5-6 weeks at the moment, hopefully it will change soon.

Could you please check if your eCase changed to Decision made or not yet?

Thanks

Dear All,

I have a slight issue. I have got the medical request and the forms now, but my wife's passport was due to expire by the end of the year and hence she recently submitted it for renewal (aaarrrrrrgghhhh!).

Now, for the medicals its mentioned that you need the passport or the national identity card and she does not have it. Is any other identification accepted such as a driver's license by the doctors doing the medical test ?

Thanks
Driver's license is acceptable, but by the way when you/your family member renew your passport, definitely the passport number will change and you have to notify CIC of that change and re-fill so many forms you have submitted before. This might probably take more time.I am not sure if it is possible to retrieve the passport until this process is over -until after landing. I am sure you should land before the end of the year so your spouse passport will still be valid. Whichever, I wish you all the best

Thanks for the reply. only documents, forms...no police certificate no passport.
What if I do both, email and mail, to make sure they receive them if there is a problem with email.

And how come they will get corp documents into the passport that about to expire? :) Replace passport and inform CIC, it is not a big deal.

You can do both if you want. In my case they got my documents over email only and after a week I asked for confirmation and same day they replied that they got all the documents. And in a few weeks I got a PPR.
