If I was from a visa-exempt country then there would not be any confusion. I require visa to visit Canada.
I have a visa which is valid for one more year. I don't know if the officer took that into consideration.

I was wondering if there is someone in this forum who lives in Canada and was requested for a copy of the passport instead of the original one.

Hi Guys,

I applied from within Canada and still live in Canada.
After my Medical was done, I got a request for the photocopy of my passport (not the original passport). I thought that it will be a request for the original passport after medical to issue the visa. So I am a bit confused. I was wondering whether they request for the copy of the passport or the passport itself from the people who live in Canada. In the case of original passport request, do they stamp the visa on passport or the visa is just on a separate page?

I was wondering if there is a chance that after checking the copy of a passport they will send me the visa.

hmmm, interesting...I applied in June 2011 as a FSW1 and still did not hear anything from Ottawa, either MR requests or updated forms...Anyway, good luck to you.
