Got the big news today - got passport back with permanent resident visa! The wait is finally over! Will complete the landing at CIC office, hopefully next week.
Sent passport to Ottawa July 18, got back August 7 - that makes it a 3 week turnaround, including the mailing back and forth.

Congrats Buddy, I have also received passport request today. can you please share me your visa expiry on ur passport ? when you did your medical ?

I did my medicals in april 2012 and they delayed the whole for one reason or other, I dont know what will be my visa expiry would be?

My File has been transferred from Ottawa to New York after Medical and RPRF payment ( I believe I am the only one in this situation).

I sent couple of emails to New York office to know the status, around 20 days back BUT no reply till now...seems they are sleeping

Could you please suggest me some alternative way-out to contact New York office.

Thanks a lot for your comments. I browsed the web and found every body got PPR within 2 months after case transferred from Ottawa to any other office in North America. Hope that would be the case for me as well....

I have sent an email to New York Office, let's see what they reply and I would update you accordingly.
