MPs cant help much. They communicate with Minster's office and get updates from this office.

Be patient. Each case has different waiting time. Some is very fast, some is very slow. I waited 8 months to receive File Number/Medical Exam.

I said "PR Visa" which stands for Permanent Resident Visa (Immigration Visa).

Dear Rossie,

Good news!!!! I received AOR and MR request yesterday through email. I received UCI as well as Applicant numbers too Can't believe we received MR request with in 3 months of application submission :)

The email says our file transferred from Buffalo to CPP-O (Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa) and all the correspondances need to be done through this office in future. In the email totally 4 docs have been enclosed
ie
1) Medical form - primary applicant
2) Medical form - secondary applicant (spouse)
3) Instruction to doctor (PDF)
4) Medical Instruction (PDF)

Also in the email it says " If you have not received any instructions from CCP-O office by 120 days from the date of this letter/email, you are requested to contact this office directly" - by this sentence I'm getting confused.

I was supposed to receive MR forms which I have already received through email but why do I have to wait for response from CCP-O? Is there anything else I need to expect in regular mail from CCP-O?

I heard that MR forms will be coming in mail, but now I have already received them in email so still do I have to wait them in mail?

Appreciate your response....

Congrats Anu for getting AOR and MR. Yes, MR's are coming in email nowadays. You don't have to wait for a regular mail as it seems you've already got what you need. So, do both your medical(s) at once and get tracking numbers for both your spouse and yourself so that you feel relieved once they reach Ottawa from DMP(s).

I see that your file got transferred to CCP-O. It's again a new trend. I'm not familiar with this. But I've seen other applicants whose files were transferred there as well. CCP-O has a 10 month processing time in total as opposed to 13 months of Buffalo, so that's a good news. I think you can expect RPRF/PPR within next 120 days unless you are really late in sending medical report.

You can get more info on these in the following topic where saka101 and Toughongan talk about CCP-O:
Buffalo Waiting Period: PPR after MEDICAL (Page 6,7 cont'd)

@ Anu...I received the same email as u and did not have to wait for MR in the mail.

@ Rossei..how long after u got meds received in ECAS did u get PPR?

@Saka1: Thanks a lot for the useful information...

@Rossie: Thanks a lot for quick response. Unfortunately my husband is out of USA on a business trip for 3 weeks and we are unable to medical(s) as of now :( hopefully we'll get it done ASAP as soon as he returns.

My meds reached Ottawa on 22-AUG-2011, it was updated in e-CAS around 2-SEP-2011 (cannot be exact) and then I received my PPR on 8-SEP-2011 via email.

Wow!

Hi Everyone....

I have a basic question hope someone could provide me the proper information.

Inordered to get Canadian citizenship as a Permanent Residence we need to stay 1095 days out of 1460 days, however to maintain just the "Permanent Residency" how long we need to stay out of how many years???

Sometime back I had seen some information regarding this in CIC website ie staying 2 yrs out of 5 yrs we can retain the permanent residence ship but now I'm not able to find it over the website :(

Does anyone have any info regarding this???
