The only movement at Buffalo VO in the last three months, I have noticed is that status of few applicants has changed from RBVO to In Process. Buffalo is dead slow. My 17 months from the date they recd complete application will be up in Aug 2011, but I have no hope of completing the process by that time. CIC always has new surprises in store to slowdown the process, such as announcing new fast track system with 39 occupation is 2008, changing it to 29 occupation in 2010, replacing CAIPS with GCMS, staggering issuance of visas to limit the entry of new immigrants into Canada, new list/regulations to be announced in 2011 and now some "Canada Based Immigration Officers" at Visa Offices worldwide will change during summer relocation time (approx 1/3 of the total strength during May-Aug). Some unlucky applicants will suffer because of change in VO handling their files and our miseries will continue....Despite all this, we will continue with our hope to realize our Canadian dreams.

(Still RBVO here first of all)

Don't lose hope guys. Be optimistic. I am relying too much on getting my process done- or close to being done- by Sept 2011. But that's just me (or my 17 months completing). Let's just hope that's still the case. Stay positive friends.

That's the spirit Khan! ;)

Cheers :D

Hi Anne55,

We have the same timeline.I hope we are going to have Medical request next month!

It is one year after we applied to Sydney and alomost one year that our files have been transfered to Buffalo.

God will help us all! :-*

since we're talking about timelines...

my case was transferred to Buffalo in March (17th?)2010. and i sent them complete set of documents in April. I made a mistake in completing one of my forms. In "education" section, i left out a gap of about 8 months (time between my high school and my first college-1995 i think) and they sent the whole package back -saying that i have to make the correction and that i "have 120 days to send them back to buffalo". I made the correction and mailed my documents back the very next business day. I got my 2nd AOR in last week of Oct 2010.

Reason why i share this with you guys... you see, they DID see my filled-out forms.. looked at them seriously enough to find a little mistake- and remember it was only a month after i sent the complete package to Buffalo. (now its my speculation that) had there been no mistake by me in filling out my forms, my status would have been turned into "in process" right there and then. I would have recieved my 2nd AOR maybe the same time back then BUT then i would have been among those people who have longer gap between their 2nd AOR's and Med-requests - as opposed to those people who are still "RBVO" and whose status will change to "in-process" right when they'll receive med-requests. In short, maybe (and God knows i hope so) no matter what, it'll take 17 months (or so) for the whole process... but the gap between 1st AOR, 2nd AOR, Med-requests, time after meds-completed, and request for passport is all different.

Lets just hope it's 17 months only (July-Sept 2011 for us all hopefully).

Just thought i'd share.

Hi All:
Just a quick question:
- Does buffalo ask for police clearance (or finger print stuff) from canadian police (if the applicant is currently living in canada under work/study permit) ? Does every application gets this request before or with medicals?
- Do you think it will be better to apply for police clearance and keep the certificate ready or even send them before they ask ?
- Also, the same thing with 2009 tax returns- is it better to send it before they ask?
Thanks

No they never ask any thing ,but if you have all document pls send now

Thanks for the reply.
No, I do not have police clearance but I was thinking to get one and send them... have you sent one?
I saw in the thread that many people are asked for past year tax info- so, i guess we should send beforehand- what are you doind in this regard?

in the case of people living in canada, i've heard of them asking for the person to go get themselves fingerprinted. thats what they use to check ur police clearance for canada.. i assume u've sent pcc's for all the other countries they need it for when u sent in ur docs and forms to buffalo..
does that answer ur question?

Yes, I have sent pcc's for all contries i lived > 6 months. However, they do not ask us to submit canadian pcc with full documents so, i have not done it.
Now, I see that many people are being asked to give tax returns and finger print from canada- I was thinking i should send them these before they ask to save time in the future.

If u send then good ..other wise pls wait and watch for next request or medical

Guys

Any idea about Canada Software Job Market??

Pls let me know

I am living in Canada since 2006 with valid work permit and they did not aks Police certificate from Canade.I send to them only certificate from my own country. And I am also send to them 2009 tax-returns-nottice of assessment.
