Hey you guys,
I just finished my landing and back to the States. Here is my experience for official thing (and later on with some "chicks" - keep on reading, it won't be long)

I drove my own car to Buffalo and crossing Peace Bridge to the other side without any serious delay (it took me about 30-40 min just to cross the bridge which is not bad at all). I didn't have to talk to any US custom getting out of the states (which was weird - I don't know about other US-Canada borders) drove directly to 15-lane-welcoming-porch and were directed to the "building" for further landing process. I was well-prepared, however it would never be enough, I was a little scare of "everything"...
The lady officer was nice to me seeing my pale face after waiting 30 minutes in the long line (I don't know what the heck is happening there, there are 2 families, 4-5 members each came before me for "landing too" and it took them forever to finish). After all, I was able to show off my bank statement, Car title, goods to follow lists and other paperworks. She didn't really care, check my passport, asked several questions like "What's your full name, BOD etc." and told me to give her the number of funds (she didn't take a look at the bank statement). Finally, she stamped the CORP, and asked me whether I know how to maintain the PR status (You know I can tackle well, right) and congrats me being a PR in Canada. And that was not all...
I will be back to the forum tomorrow for the later part o my story ;). Keep in touch

congrats @ smallduck, looking forward to reading your chicks story lolz ... :P

did you import the car? if yes, did you bring it back to US w/o exporting from Canada?

I received my CAIPS today, the scores are still not caculate yet, only the age 10 points. The BF'D is on 05-05-2011, and my 2nd AOR is 05-05-2010.

Seniors. will the BD'F date change still? So frustrated they still not view any of my application. Its the 14th months since 2nd AOR, the CIC website states Buffalo's processing time is 19 months, I don't think my file can be done by then.

Any good news today, buddies? Good luck.

Hey there!!
Until 2 weeks ago, my status was the same, as you know, same with the CAIPS results, there was nothing in there but the age points.. Even now although it says "in process" there, the details are the same, so who knows how long it will take..
I know it's so frustrating, and usually no matter what people say, u feel like your file will stay as RBVO forever, but it won't. Eventually there will be a progress maybe this week maybe next week but I believe it will be soon. Just try to be patient and stay positive. I'm goin thru the whole process of renewal of LMO and work permit, just because my file is not finalized yet.. but what can we do, we have to wait...

Yes, the same here, I am renewing the study and spouse work permit as well, as there is nothing change. and your BF'D date is the same as your 2nd AOR date as well?

yep it was the same as AOR. I requested CAIPS at the end of April, and the BFD was May 6th 2011.

sent an enquiry to buffalo last night and got a quick reply from them this morning, stating:

"Your application is in queue for review. An exact review schedule is not yet available. No further action is required by you at this time."
...does this mean that I shouldn't expect MR in the coming months or perhaps before the year ends? :(

NOooooooooooooo, you should not loose hope to get MR in near future, I got similar reply from Buffalo VO, and I got my CAIPS also at that time, no future BFD was in that, I was thinking same way, but after a week I got MR.

Their reply is general in nature, as they as not bound to give future action info, but VO takes care of processing as planned.

Hi Twixsnips,

My timeline is similar to you. I contacted my local MP (member of Parliament) and asked him to follow my file. He checked with Buffalo in last two months,

In early June, Buffalo respond: Inprocess with background check pending
In Early July,Buffalo respond:in queue for review. An exact review schedule is not yet available. No further action is required by you at this time.

I think we will get MR in July or Aug. My address is disappeared in may ECAS today, whenever the Buffalo work on your file, it is possibly your address will be disappeared.

goodluck

hi, twixsnips.

We are in the same 2nd AOR date, 05May2010. I sent an case specify email to Buffalo on Nov2010, they replied me my case was in process, but my CIC e-cas still showing RBVO, after some months, I sent another email to ask the application status, this time, they told me my case is in a queue for review.......da da da da ......

And I requested CAIPS last month and got the result yesterday. My BF'D date is the same as my 2nd AOR, 05May2011, I don't know whether the BF'D date will change again during my requesting CAIPS. And all other scores are 0 except my age 10 points.

So please do not believe the email replies, its just auto replies from their system. I am waiting for my MR also, and so frustrated how come it took such a long time.

But I found something here, the April 2010 applicants are all got the MR, Now it might be our May 2010s' turn to receive something .... We should be patient,, even i am not patient always. hahahaha.......

Good luck, Buddy...... Hope we will hear good news soon....... :D

Hey Team,

I'm also in the same boat.. my case is slightly different that though my file was transferred to Buffalo in Feb 2010 .. I sumitted all documents in Jun 2010.. I got 2nd AOR in Nov 2010.. I dont know what those people were doing for 5 months.

I assume everything is driven by the file transfer date.. which is same as you guys..

I've requested CAIPS last month so they will be coming soon..

In my opinion our files will be picked up in Sep-Oct once the process for this year's application is finished.

Keeping fingures crossed :)

Sounds about right .. My bfd is September

they don't respond to my inquiries anymore :( i don't know why..
I sent one to see if they have received the medicals but I don't know yet :-[

Dont worry. They will contact U soon. Some of my friends got 2AOR on Aug 1 to Aug 7, they received MR. Hopefully, I will get it this week.
