Bringing A Bicycle To Canada

I wish to bring in my personal bicycle to Canada as i have adequate luggage capacity. I will be flying to Toronto YYZ. I have had this bicycle for a couple of years. I plan to disassemble it, put it in a box and carry it as additional luggage.

Does anyone have any experience bringing a bicycle (A Used one for personal purpose)? Does it have to be declared? Taxes applicable?

I do plan to service and professionally clean the bicycle before the boxing.

When we moved to Vancouver, we brought our bicycle with us without disassemble it. It was shipped by sea and was documented and declared among with other things. No duty paid.
