Kijo - did your visa letter come via post or did you print it off an email like for PNP and go to the border to start it?

My lawyer emailed me saying it will be coming in the post, but when I get my PNP it was a letter attached to an email which I printed off.

Its not a visa letter.. I got confirmation of my work permit through email and then after a week I got the hard copy of it through mail.
Does that answer your query ?

Sort of, just to confirm - I got an email saying my Open Work Permit has been approved and attached to the email was a document attached with PERMIT - WP-EXT on.

I'm sure when I got my PNP I got a letter just like this but with a different 'Type' that I printed off and took to the border. The hard copy you talked about, was that the same letter attached to the email?

Just wondering why I can print it off and take it to the border?

So when you say 'Its not a visa letter' what is the attachment?

You should get your work permit in the mail. You don't have to go to the border with the approval email.
We are talking about BOWP rt ??

Yes the BOWP. Do I just put it in my passport?

All my other visa's I've had to go to the border so start them. Didn't know I could get one via the post.

Today, 6th Nov 2013, I received my BOWP in mail. On my permit it says Employer : Any, Employment Location : B. C NES. On my wife's permit it says Employer : Any Employment Location : Unknown
