BOWP in progress, can I go back to my old job?

Hi guys, my PR application is processing and I applied for BOWP at end of June but am still waiting. I quit my old job in March, but I am wondering if I can go back to this same employer even without a BOWP??

I will call on Tuesday but am just wondering if anyone has ideas.
