Closed WP Vs bridging open work permit(BOWP) - Can i apply both at same time.

This was a old thread but I am facing the same issue. Can someone tell me what was the resolution of this. Can one apply both BOWP and Closed WP same time. In my case I have already applied for BOWP, and now my company wants to renew my WP for another six months.

The question is if I also applied for renewal of my WP for another 6 months, will my BOWP be valid under such circumstances?
 
Hi ,

I am also facing the same problem and I have only 2 weeks to think since my current WP is expiring on 14th August .

Any help is much appreciated

to be safer side apply BOWP,
you can withdraw BOWP if company is going process Closed WP with in next couple weeks.

shibinp and myself discussed on this issue long back. pls send personal message to shibinp for more info on this.

i would recommend you to discuss with your manager/HR on BOWP option for further continue to work in canada and apply BOWP.

My company is going to apply for closed WP . But LMO has not been filed till now . This is the reason I am trying to look for more options .

If I apply for BOWP , both my closed and BOWP will have to processed at same time . Is this possible ?

logically we can apply both at same time , but we are not sure about the application filled later
