BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Got my BOWP approved

Submitted PR Jan 6th
Submitted BOWP Jan 7th
BOWP Put 'On Hold' Feb 13th
BOWP Approved April 5th

In Ontario, online method

Congrats! When you say submitted PR is that the online application for express entry?

My closed WP is gonna expire in 3.5 weeks, can I create an express entry profile for CEC (I qualify and have 500 points), submit my EE application and apply for BOWP straight away?

Some people say it goes on hold until R10 checks pass on EE application, that's correct?

I'm on ICT WP and is valid till 14th April 2018. Now my company is planning to relocate back to India.
MY PR is in progress. I received the AOR on Feb 06th 2017. I know that we can apply for BOWP before 4 months of expiry.

So I wanted to know if by any chance are there anyone who were able to get the BOWP even before their WP expires I.e. having a validity of >4 months.

Or are there any other ways of staying back in Canada.

Appreciate your valuable feedbacks.

As far as i know you have to submit your PR application before you can apply for the BOWP. You need the receipt of application. when I say 'submitted PR' i mean I had the invite from my EE application and then I submitted all my documents for PR

If you apply for the BOWP before your WP expires, you can continue in Canada under implied status.

That's right, and not understanding what should I do, go back to India or stay back by resigning my company. And more over, we never know how much time CIC is gonna take, its always a black box

Oh okay, so you can't ask for a BOWP after submitting an EE application.

You are eligible to apply for BOWP only if you have submitted your EE profile. they would ask for an AOR as a required document

BOWP will be approved once R10 check on your PR application is compete. However, you can apply for it right away. The BOWP application is kept on hold till R10 is completed. Once you apply for BOWP...you will be on implied status till you get the BOWP results

I believe GCMS notes arrive in 30 days or so...you can definitely apply for it. However, you need not wait for R10 completeness to apply for BOWP. My suggestion is that you can wait and see if you get PR approval itself for some more time....just my suggestion...you can take a call.
