BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Hi,

I am on open work permit and my PR application is in process. I have my AOR.

My work permit expires in 3 months and i would like to begin preparing my BOWP application. I already work for an employer full time.

Can anyone guide me on how to go about applying for the BOWP? I know some questions in the BOWP questionnaire can be confusing (How long do you intend to stay in canada Do you have an existing job offer? etc etc).

Advise will be greatly appreciated.

following is the status on my (principle applicant) and my wife's CEC PR application as of today i.e. Jan 13th, 2015.

"We received your application for permanent residence on August 19, 2013.
We started processing your application on March 14, 2014."

Medicals received on 14th March 2014
RPRF fee asked 17th march 2014, RPRF fee paid 23rd March 2014
First medical submitted (of me n my wife) on 15th April 2014
Second medical submitted (just me) 5th nov 2014

currently residing in canada

Mine and my wife's first BOWP is due to expire on 7th April 2015 (applied through an agent)

I wish to save the agent's fee and apply the 2nd BOWP myself, but not confident enough.

I have downloaded the IMM5710E and IMM5556E checklist (assuming these are the correct forms for it).

has someone got the BOWP for the second time ? because cic website says that u can only get BOWP once and 2nd would be on case to case basis.

any help in completing our BOWP application would be appreciated.

I applied for second BOWP in dec 19 I never heard of them rejecting it.....I never knew second bowp is case to case...I just applied for mine..my medical was done in march 2014...and rprf in frb 2014......since then nothing my gcms notes say medical passed.. eligibility passed...criminality in progresss and security not started.....

No. you do not need an employment letter. If you have AOR, it is better to apply online.

I tried to check how to do it online but could not figure it out. did u apply just for urself or two people ? and do u know where is the "document number" on the work permit ? is it the number starting with "U" below the red number on the top right ? or its the number starting with "W" ?

I am also sailing in the same boat my current BOWP is also getting expire on 25-Mar-2015. Are you working? with current BOWP and if you are applying BOWP Extension online then there is question about the do you have job offer? Y/N field. ? Can you provide your answer
