BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

I called up CIC and inquired them , why my WP has not been recieved till now , I applied online on 4th september . They told it has been approved but there is some problems with printer are goin on , thats why it is getting delayed .. It might take 1-2 weeks to sort out the problem


Unfortunately for me , i have to travel to india on 20th october and booked tickets well in advance , i have visa to enter canada till 5 th jan 2015 but since new wp has been approved , i have to carry and show it to officer while returning , but i dont have that new wp and dont know when CIC will sort out printer problem and post it ...

Any suggestion people on how i can travel and avoid cancelling my ticket ?

Hi Shugzz,
i called CIC today and spoke with online team who have access to CEC Files and Vegreville. The rep informed me that they are currently working on files submitted on 8th August.

Did you applied online.If yes what does it shows.Does it shows approved or no information about it.They said they have problem with printers only right, not with the site.

applied online , Its in open status ,no other info , unless they printout the workpermit and sent it there will not status update !!

I called today to CIC. They said that they are working on 10 September application.
It seems that call center people doesn't know about BOWP information. They are just checking processing times table.

Yes right, they just say the processing time shown on the CIC website.
They are useless, can not do anything for our application..
I can't understand why CIC homepage encourages us to contact the call center when our application takes longer time than the website processing time.

processing time for WP has been updated.
Why don't you contact CIC call center??

Same problem here, applied for BOWP on 15th September for me, my wife and student visas for my sons. So far visa has been approved for my 6 year old son and rest of us are still waiting.
By now I've received multiple mails saying that our application have been updated but when I go there there's nothing except for that one that has been approved.
I'm thinking about calling but I'm not sure if that will do much help.

Can you folks please enlighten us as some members recently shared their stories of rejection going with the assumption that the AOR qualifies as pass for BOWP.

Do we need to provide the current work permit for BOWP online application?

And the question where its asked if we applied to enter or remain in Canada , should it be yes in case I applied and got the work permit extended?

And I got refused to extend my work permit the first time I applied due to not having LMO - so should I chose "yes" to the question if I got permit refused and write explanation? It was extended the second time I applied with LMO...

Your first BOWP was rejected, then you applied second time with LMO.

Anybody have recived BOWP after 4th September , i heard their printer is not working so they cant printout the wp !!
