BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Are you on a WP right now? You should be in implied status until you get a BOWP decision, right? You don't need to leave.

Sorry, I was talking only about BOWP. I applied on September 10 and got the approval on September 19.

I applied for BOWP on oct 3rd via online.
Every time i get email that ur information has been updated.But when i login its not updated.It still says file not open.So can anybody say why i am getting email to my mailbox for every 2 days.Did i forgot anything or missed anything.

I am also receiving emails like that once a week. and no update on website.
I don't know why..

I was thinking that I got BOWP but, when checked online tool. It is in open status.

Never trust on PR or BOWP from CIC . Unless or until it will not in our hand.

Many of us had the same experience. I think it is a glitch in the system. I received 2 or 3 emails like that and then the approval email. So just keep checking mycic account once in a while.

I know the reason why. When you get the email and login to your CIC account...you should click on the status to view the PDF. Once you see the PDF then it wont trigger automated emails.

I received emails 2 times more even after I had opened a PDF file..

I got my BOWP today! I am very happy that it has come through..... I sent it off on 15th September -- so it was under a 30 day turnaround.

I did experience the sames issues about the stats messages, but I think that it is just letting you know that the status has been updated from; "Application Received", "Application Processing" , "Open", "Closed (hopefully approved)"

You mean you got mail BOWP or your online status changed to "approved"??

My online status changed to "Closed - Approved". I did also get a pdf stating that it has been approved, and that my permit was on the way in the post.

I called up CIC and inquired them , why my WP has not been recieved till now , I applied online on 4th september . They told it has been approved but there is some problems with printer are goin on , thats why it is getting delayed .. It might take 1-2 weeks to sort out the problem


Unfortunately for me , i have to travel to india on 20th october and booked tickets well in advance , i have visa to enter canada till 5 th jan 2015 but since new wp has been approved , i have to carry and show it to officer while returning , but i dont have that new wp and dont know when CIC will sort out printer problem and post it ...

Any suggestion people on how i can travel and avoid cancelling my ticket ?

Did you applied online.If yes what does it shows.Does it shows approved or no information about it.They said they have problem with printers only right, not with the site.
