BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

They give BOWP for 1 year or so .. or according to your passport (if it is less than 1 year)

So I would get BOWP until june when my pp expires. And then I have to apply again?! In order to being able
to work until a decision on my PR application has been made?
Doesn't make any sense to me.

They only give it to the validity of the passport if the passport is expiring in less than 1 year .
Of course they will give it a full 1 year if it expires in 2015 or w.e

How do i know?
simple.
I was in that stance.
My passport expires July 4,2014, i got my approval letter in Aug 9.
i was given BOWP till expiry of passport with remarks stating it was given to the validity of passport. Need to apply again for further considerations.
So it makes sense to me.
Do some googling and you'll get your answers if not =/

Ok, I just called CIC call center and confirmed that it was approved yesterday, August 19th (submitted July 16th) but they do not know the reason why I haven't receive my email.

Sipkenz : You will get approval email mostly by 22nd or 23rd , Normally after 3 workdays of approval and it will take another a day or two receive permit by post.

My wife is the principal CEC applicant with me as the secondary. We sent off our applications for our BOWPs on July 3rd 2013 and we received them today! All the best to you all.

Just out of interest, those of you who applied online, where did you attach a copy of your current work permit in the bundle of PDFs?

I attached mine along with the Passport/Travel Document PDF and didn't attach it to the Letter of Explanation as well. All the information's there though - the checklist questions say when it expires, and the main form gives the document number. The document itself is bundled in with the passport (which it's attached to!). Shouldn't be a problem as all the info to prove eligibility is there, right?

If anyone's got an opinion on this I'd love to hear it - I'm at about the latest point when I'd be able to withdraw my application and resend if I need to. I pretty much only have one shot to get this thing right, and it's frustrating to notice imperfections like these when I was rushing to send it out!

I put my work permit in the passport section as well...seemed like the logical place for it.

no, you dont have to do the medials for BOWP.

Just the following are good to proceed

1.Have Received AOR
2.Current work Permit is going to expire within 4 months.

Thats It.

I received my BOWP today (Aug 23rd) and the weird part is I didn't get any emails. so for anyone who is expecting a confirmation. have faith!

another tip is that I didn't submit 'Schedule 1 - Application for Temporary Resident Visa'
