BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Hi,

My visa is expiring on August 14th.I am planning to apply for BOWP online on 13th or 14th. Is the application received by CIC immediately if i apply online or it can be a problem keeping in mind the time i have between application and expiry.

I applied on July 5 and just got an e-mail notification today (August 8) which states "In Canada Approval Letter", which I assume means the permit has been issued?

Yes , It is approved . There is a letter associated with the message it shows validity date. The letter can be downloaded from a link below table contains the message . First click on message in the table then download pdf letter from link that appear below the table.

Yes , As soon as you complete application you will receive a confirmation email for application with application#. I assume your WP is expiring on 14th ,To avoid any risk i suggest you to apply at most by 13th .

My IEC visa expires on the 14th of Aug too! Applied for BOWP 19th of July so hoping to hear something good soon.

Otherwise I'll be kicked out!

Sent out for a BOWP and a permit for my common-law spouse on the 8th! Here's hoping.

Of course, I had to notice after sending it that I'd made a typo on the "date you entered into the common-law relationship" part - put "10" instead of "01" in the day field, so it's about as minor as can be, but it's still a shame and slightly worrisome.

Called CIC and they reassured me that they'll query it if they need to rather than reject an application on a typo - the proper info's all on the common law declaration after all and the evidence is all good so I'm not too worried. Here's hoping it goes smoothly though, our current WPs are up on the 11th September!

Got BWOP Approved on Aug 9 by Email.

Yay! Got my permit approved today! Hope to get it in my mail soon.
Applied for permit Jul 12. Valid until Aug 12, 2014.

It took a week for my mail to get to me.
Pretty good haha!!

Yes, I applied only on July 9. So it took 30 days to process.

See the website of processing time stops updated. Feel a bit worried.

yeah why have they not updated since august 7... are they completely on strike?
