BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Thanks Sava. Finally I did the application on line.
I deleted my previous personal checklist code and redid with a new checklist code.
Then it worked.

I have applied BOWP on June 29 , I got information from CIC call center on Aug -02 that it was approved and sent on Aug-01. But didn’t get an approval email or hard copy of the permit till now , I am little worried .
Do they send email all the time , How many days it will take to receive the permit by post?
I have applied BOWP for myself and visitor record extension for my family member together online.

Yes, You can work under the implied status.

Doesn't matter, if its student or worker....you will continue on the same status until a decision is made by an officer.

Don't worry, you will get it.. I got the email 2 days after CIC confirmed over call.. And received my hard copy after 5 business days.. Though the wait is longer for you wrt receiving the email, everything should be ok if CIC has confirmed over call..

Hi guys. Just a question in mind. Assuming one is holding valid BOWP for one year, and after few months, he/she is able to get job with LMO and eventually approved for closed work permit for 2 years, is the BOWP still valid by then?

Hi friends,

Have almost everything uploaded and ready to go. I'm applying for a BOWP and an OWP for my spouse at the same time.

Just have a very quick question, which if anyone'd be able to answer it'd really put my mind at ease:

In terms of digital signature and photo, it's only asking for these things for me, the principal applicant. We've filled in the Family Representative form, so does this mean this photo and signature isn't needed for my spouse?

Admittedly, I haven't gotten to the digital signature page yet so I don't know for sure it won't ask for her digital signature.

Hey! Currently I have:

IMM5710 for both of us (not signed but validated)
Passports for both of us
Statutory declaration of Common Law + evidence
Use of a Family Member Representative
Schedule 1 for both of us
Digital photograph for me
Letter of explanation + extra pages to continue work experience details

There currently isn't a space for a digital photo for my spouse - I guess it's only required for the principal?

Got my email approval for my BOWP yesterday August 7, 2013. Applied July 6.
Im a May applicant. I got 2 close work permit both expiring in 2015. 1st company where i got my work permit was closed for good last dec. 2012. Another company who applied a work permit for me which is expiring Apr. 2015, but apparently i wasn't able to take the job for a reason which I include with my cover letter.

I guess it all depends on how you explain your situation to the CIC officer.

Im so relieved.

Apparently only if you're applying online - paper applications don't need them.

I applied on July 5 and just got an e-mail notification today (August 8) which states "In Canada Approval Letter", which I assume means the permit has been issued?
