BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Hi there,
You can only apply for BOWP within 4 months of expiry of your current visa.
after you apply and get your BOWP, you don't have to get a visa stamp on passport, but if you are planning on leaving Canada, you need a valid temporary resident visa to re-enter Canada. You can do both online from within Canada.

But basic steps:
Apply for normal work permit thru CIC, specify open work permit and do not put employer information. Explain in the the letter of explanation that you are applying for BRIDGING open work permit because your PR application has been submitted and attach your e-AOR.

Yes Alex you should combine it with your L0E,i did mine same and submitted already and thanks to Princes who helped me here as well as through private message,

I scanned only the page with picture and signature page.

I scanned only the page with picture and signature page.

For BOWP you have to scan ALL pages with stamps and visa.
For TRV you only need to supply bio page.

My friend is applying for BOWP paper based application , BC PNP International student. He has already received AOR. There are 4 options, 1. which one he has to select:

• A work permit with same employer
• An initial work permit or a work permit with a new employer
• Restoration of your status as worker
• 
  Temporary resident permit

Which one has to be selected. The form is APPLICATION TO CHANGE CONDITIONS, EXTEND MY STAY OR REMAIN IN CANADA AS WORKER?


2. DETAILS OF INTENDED WORK IN CANADA
1. What type of Work Permit are you apply for?
2. Details of Prospective employer (attach offer of employment)
1.Name of Employer
2.Address of Employer
3.Intended Location of Employment
4.My Occupation in Canada will be ()
8. Have you been issued a certificate under the provincial Nominee Program? (Y/N)

I just submitted BOWP application online but no application number was received from CIC nor confirmation of submission... is it normal? I only receive a message re:OFFICIAL RECEIPT paid... thanks... =)

yes i also received two same messages after i submitted in 10 min : : You have a new message in your account for application: W302476615 but when i checked in my cic inbox,it was all empty so what your message says?Even today also i received same message but nothing in my cic account..............

did you go to view submitted status and messages... the message that I received stated just a confirmation of my online submission... for sure you have that one as well...
