Hi,
I've just joined this forum. I have gained some valuable information reading some of these posts. I have a question and I'm hoping someone will be able to help me.

I have a PGWP which is due to expire feb 11, 2017. I am currently working but do not have an LMIA. I will be submitting my APR in the next few days and want to apply for the BWOP. when filling out the eligibility assessment, what should be my reply to "have you been approved in principle for permanent residence?- yes or no?"

Also, do I require an LMIA approved job to apply for the BOWP?

I will be doing this once I have submitted the APR and have Received the e-AOR.

you answers yes for the question the principle applicant was approved for pr, if you have the AOR

for do you have job put it as no, then you wouldnt have to enter the lmia information

Hi all,
I have a question, looking for some help. I applied for BOWP and TRV at the same time on 12 October Inland online. I received my BOWP on 22 November with the note at the bottom stating "Temp Resident status maintained as per R183(6). APR PENDING".
The application online is now closed and I have not received any request for Passport to get my TRV issued.
Has anyone applied for these two permits AT THE SAME TIME? What should I be expecting now? Will they still issue the TRV or do I need to apply again?

Thanks

Hey forum, anyone can shed light on my inquiry? I want to travel in Feb so need to know if I should apply again or wait?
Thanks!

Hi All,

I applied for BOWP on Dec 10th, 2016 and still there is no updates in MyCIC.

Is there anyone who applied for BOWP in the month of Dec, 2016? If yes, did you receive any updates?

I managed to talk to someone at the CIC call centre this morning. I was told I do not have a TRV and need to apply for one. The statement on my WP doesn't relate to TRV, it relates to your status as a worker. So I submitted my application online this morning - processing time is only 12 days, not too bad.

Hi there,
You can only apply for BOWP within 4 months of expiry of your current visa.
after you apply and get your BOWP, you don't have to get a visa stamp on passport, but if you are planning on leaving Canada, you need a valid temporary resident visa to re-enter Canada. You can do both online from within Canada.
Hope that helps.

Under the IEC currently,so when asked "What is your current immigration status in Canada?" am I a worker, or am I a temporary resident permit holder?
