Thanks Hammer. I may be applying end of next week. I'm waiting for GCMS notes. I'm a CEC Sep 2014 applicant.

good day jaydipdave,

you said you just got your BOWP last june 24th

would like to ask you a question on your paperbased BOWP application. How many months have you waited for it to be approved. i applied last may 31. got an email response from IRCC that my paper based application is on process. my worry is that my work permit will expire on september. ive looked up on the processing time and they are still on april 8 applications.

guys,

quick question.

did anyone experienced more than 3 months timeline on their paper based BOWP application

Hi guys, I have a question my post grad work permit is about to expire by the end of august. so my question is can i apply for my BOWP now (paper application) and then send my AOR using a case specific enquiry as soon as i submit my PR application which will be in the next 2 to 3 weeks?(already recieved my ITA just waiting on recieving one police clearance certificate) I ask this since the paper application takes about 111 days by which time i wold definitely have submitted my PR application and received the AOR. Thanks

It all depends on case officer for your work permit application. They could considered as misrepresentation because you are applying for something which you are not eligible for. The least right way to do it I would say - Apply just for work permit extension without saying it is bridging open work permit and once you receive AOR then send CASE SPECIFIC INQUIRY mentioning about your PR application in process; received AOR and if they could issue you BOWP and mention you can then pay OPEN WORK PERMIT FEES

Again that's just my suggestion, do take advice from other experts from here.

Thanks

Congratulations... :-)

Will it be ok if I apply for my BOWP a day or 2 before my current WP expires. I am almost at the and of my PR process and I can get my COPR any time soon. I don't want to waste money for BOWP for 2 people.

I want to wait till last day (or 2) to apply for BOWP so if I get my PR within few days after sending application I will be able to get refund.
I know I will be on implied status after sending my application, receiving copr or new WP so I should be fine. I can still work and stay in Canada.

Just want to know if someone did something like this before
