BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Hi guys,

Did anyone apply for a "couple" BOWP? I'm on closed WP till Oct 2013 and my wife on open WP. Our PR application is in process (me: principal applicant) and was wondering if we both can apply for BOWP in June 2013?

I have same questions "aquareo".

I need to file extension for my wife who is currently having Open Work Permit based on my closed WP valid until Oct 2013. I also need to extend my son's stay as per validity of BOWP.

Can we do this through MyCIC?

@Lal: Called CIC today and according to them if all eligible family members are included in PR application (AOR or positive eligibility received) there shouldn't be any problem in obtaining BOWP for all eligible family members.

Great !!! But Do we need to do paper based application or can we do online?

I have not explored if MyCIC will allow me to apply Open WP for my wife. And in my case, I would need to extend Visitors records for my son.

My work permit is also valid until Oct 2013 and I am thinking of applying BOWP in June.

I've applied online on 15th march, copy of AOR requested on 25 April, uploaded the same day, received confirmation on 4th may and received the work permit in mail today.

You say that a copy of the AOR was requested on April 25... Does this mean you applied for your BOWP without the AOR (or prior to receiving your AOR)?

Is there anyone who has applied for BOWP via mail? I want to check a few things before I mail my application.

I am about to submit my BWOP but will be doing it online. I need it asap! lol

Curious to find out from people what they think would happen if:
- I submit my BWOP before expiry of my current OWP, and subsequently be on "implied status"
- While on implied status I have to go to the USA for a couple weeks. I understand I lose my implied status rights.
But if my BWOP was processed and recieved while I am in USA, what would happen when I re-enter Canada?
Should I get the BOWP sent to me in the states and use it upon re-entry?
