Tommorow I am sending my papers for the CSQ to the MICC. I see you've done it already wow! hahaha Your process is doing SO good! I am happy for you.I know how long the wait is....After how many days did you get the email for the police certificate after you got the AOR from Bogota??

We received the email for the background verification exactly one week after receiving the AOR from Bogota.
Don't know if having the CSQ was prerequisite for that though...we updated the times on the above message to include the Police Certif.

What have you heard about the processing times in Bogota?
Are they much faster than the 15 months stated on the CIC website?

Well I dont know about the delays but I've checked the applications for Bogota 2013 and wow....I was surprised! Around 7-8 months....Have you seen it too?? ;D

Did you send them a copy of your CSQ yourself?

Yes we have seen processing times as short as a few months, but also as long as a couple of years. It is very hard to tell...
We hope to have everything ready for August...

We haven't sent the CSQ, as far as we know, we would only need to send it, if they required.

ahhh a couple of years?! :-( Let's hope not!! But seriously, I don't wanna get our hopes too high but our process is doing kinda good!

Sorry for asking you so many questions but when you sent the receipt for the background check, what are they talking about when they say it needs to be translated to spanish??? I seriously do not get this part...

We know... we've been receiving news about the process every single week... let's hope it keeps going on...
The Background Verification receipt is already in Spanish. It is a deposit slip from a local bank. You don't need to translate anything from that part.
Where did hear or read about translating?
If you need specific details on how to get the receipt, let us know and we will gladly write the step by step process! :D

I would LOVE that :) My husband will do the background check around next week so I need to know the exact way to do it pleaseeee ;D Is it still 60 000 pesos?

For the tranlation part, I heart the document needs to be in french or english....and that you need to scan it to a certain email for the VO. I just want my process to go rapiditoooo hahaha... I am sure we are on the same page ;-)

Ok, so we’ll try to be as detailed as we can:
The Applicant must go to a Banco de Occidente office. You can go to any office in Colombia; the one located near the embassy is a good option, as they receive this kind of payment all the time (Calle 113 No. 7-21 Torre A).
In the bank you have to request a Deposit Slip or Formulario de Recaudo en Linea. In the Form you must enter:

Ciudad: “City from where the deposit is being made”
Date: “Current Date”
Nombre Cta o Beneficiario: Risk Management Colombia SA
Nombre del Pagador: “Complete Name Of The Applicant for PR”
Referencia 1 o Nit /CC: “Cedula De Ciudadania- of the Applicant for PR”
Referencia 2: “Application No. – Usually starting with F + 9 digits” and “BOGOTA” at the End
Telefono: “Mobile telephone number of the Applicant for PR”
Cta: 223005463
Total : $60,000

After doing the payment, the bank will give you a receipt of the Deposit Slip. You should take a copy of this Deposit Slip, and send the original by regular mail/courier to the VO in Bogota.
In our case, we also decided to send a scan copy of the deposit slip and send it to:
aplicantes@procesosec.com and to bgotaimmigration@international.gc.ca. It is probably not necessary, but in the CIC website, that part was mentioned.

Hey Huertdiaz!

I was wondering...In the ECAS section, when did you see ''Medical exam received'' ?
We did the medical exam in November...I still see ''Application Received'' in the ECAS?

Thank you ! :D

Hi SarahRuiz,

We saw it just after the Sponsorship Approval.
In ECAS, to see more details on your application you have to click where it says Application Received.
There you will see the date when they received the application, and also very likely, that Medical results have been received.

Let us know how it goes....

Yes. I can see it very well...but it doesn't say Medical exam has been received. It just says Application received on January 28 th 2014.... Should I worry? ???

You shouldn't worry just yet... 8) you can always contact the doctor's office and ask them if they successfully uploaded the results in eMedical, or if they can issue a copy of your medical exam. But we wouldn't do that for now.
Have you completed the MICC part?
Our advise, is to get that part done, because, in theory, Bogota wouldn't start checking your application until having your Undertaking Approval from MICC.
You should also do the Background Verification. ;)
