Birth Certificate for Sponsor to show relationship with parents

Hi Team,

I am planning to apply for my parents PR application under PGP 2020 after the recent draw.
I realized the that I do not have a birth certificate, since during early 80s birth certificate was not really required for any processes.

Do the experts on this forum know if we can submit an affidavit (notarized or otherwise) that indicates my parents' names and my date/place of birth ?
Please suggest some alternatives which can be used for birth certificate.
