So, it really takes 2 days (less than 24 hours) for the amendments to be discussed and forwarded back to the Senate. Unless, the Senate reject them, C-6 should become law by June 29, 2017.

That's true! At the same time, it took 1 month for HoC to start discussing the amendments.
Fingers crossed for the best!

And Linda Frum will not do anything to stall it in the senate? Hard to believe it based on what she did a few months ago...

Well, she will try but she has no ground to stand on. In fact, the age limit for the language test falls more in line with C24. However, as Forrest Gump said: "My mom always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.” :)

not correct there were holidays in between..plus HoC had to put in proper legal terminology so it's like comparing apples and oranges if you try to compare time it took HoC to bring up senate amendments and time it MIGHT take senate to debate it.

I still believe the bill will pass before Canada Day like I said earlier this morning. I don't think senate will unnecessarily delay it further. It took its time there, far more than 'normally' it takes in the senate. (Just my analysis and opinion)

Lets get back to twitter with Sen Jaffer, Omidvar to try best to pass!

This bill is turning to a thriller movie, too much suspense, now we are waiting if the hero will be able to defuse the bomb in the right time or not

IMHO it will be same thing..2 days it will be tackled in senate and passed..first sitting all talk nd no action nd second sitting will pass along part lines..i think suspense for me is what would the implementation look like..anything other than an immediate implementation post RA will be a big disappointment for a lot of people..imagine if they say it will be implemented from 2018 am sure lot of folks will cry bloody murder...so yeah the most suspenseful part is not the bill becoming law but what comes after

You can't reasonable expect/believe that the implementation will be immediate post royal assent. IRCC needs time to update the website, the forms, internal processing, software, staff training etc.
Even if IRCC pushed for implementation like crazy, this would take several weeks. And that is a big if already.

I'm a software engineer and a web designer / graphic designer by trade. Will do all you mentioned in an hour, 2 hours if you want to go fancy on your forms. About training, pleaaaasseeee! Have you called CIC ever? :)
