Not necessary. Each senator can speak once per reading of a bill, and there are about 40 conservative senators => those of them who have not spoken during the 3rd reading can decide to speak after the motion to adjourn is defeated.

What happened is simply one senator said "let's adjourn cause I need time to prepare my speech" - the senate may not agree to this, but it does not prevent that senator from speaking today.
