I am the one in affect list. Landed on July and have only 180 Days for 2013. which means whole year will not count as per current regulations. to Qualify the year I need 183 days :(

Hi Badar, I am on the same boat. i came here in 2007 as an international student, worked my way to permanent residency by having an underpay job ( i had a NOC class A occupation (professional) job with minimum wage and i use my own vehicle for work). the application for PNP took 18 months because of the transformation and finally landed Aug 2013. With the new bill c-6 none of the time i spent from 2007 - 2013 July can be counted toward my application.

I have an intention to stay here for long term and true that one could argue if you were to reside in Canada then bill c-6 'doesn't matter' as much. But after almost 10 years living here, i personally am really eager to reach the final stage of the milestone and this very long CIC journey. :(

Good example of how important bills are treated; very deep analysis of C-29, and follow up questions. While C-6 is clearly way down the line of importance and treated like a 'fart in the room' :)

I believe that it will be skipped or will not be transferred to committee because the cons are the majority in committee for CIMM.

In the right time once they change the forum of CIMM Committee they bill will move forward.

I am not and expert but I wish the best for this bill

Absolutely true for C-6 status

Finally Frum Started speaking at bill C-6 ..... just now.

She started trying to partisan the bill and make the independent Senators deviate from participation!!!

what do u mean by "She started trying to partisan the bill "?

She directed her speech to the newly appointed Senators saying: you were appointed to provide a professional and independent service but this bill is a true partisan bill.......

Which means in other words: you Independents, get away from supporting this bill, it's shame on you to participate in a partisan business!!!

"She is FRUM"
