HI folks,

I'm working in BC under open work permit, and my job is NOC A.
However, when I applied for a job in this company, the initial position I applied was QA specialist. However, after several rounds of interview, they offered me a new position as International RA specialist (NOC 1122). and I've been working for more than 6 months with this position. I'm waiting to apply for Skilled Worker - EEBC and expect my score will be invited soon (mine is 112, the last invitation - score 114- Oct 12).

I've sent the check list to my HR and they're ready to support with all documents, except recruitment effort. She said she could mention something (like efforts) on the form, but the company does not have recruitment adv for my current title. Is it possible to be accepted? if you're in similar situation, how did you do with this document?

Many thanks.
Hello. Program Guidelines regarding Genuine Efforts to Recruit Locally says in additional considerations that:
..."At its sole discretion, the BC PNP may consider the recruitment requirement met if you have a valid work permit and/or employment authorization and are currently working full-time for your supporting employer in B.C. in the occupation identified in the job offer"...

Also, if you take a look at the Employer Declaration Form that is required to submit, there is a field for Recruitment Summary where your HR could mention the efforts to hire you, where it says:
"...For an applicant already working for you, please describe the recruitment activities that led to the initial hiring"... In your case, since your HR will not have supporting documents for your current NOC position, I believe it they could write all the recruitment efforts and rounds of interviews in that Employer Form, as well as in your Employer reference letter, and it would be up to BC PNP consider the efforts met.

My situation is somewhat similar. The HR of my company posted job offer for one NOC number and title, but I was hired in a lower entry level instead (due to 20 hours work per week as international student). After 1,5 year I got promoted to the initial NOC job offer intended. Therefore, I did not have recruitment adds to my initial NOC hired as well. I submitted the adds they posted for the other NOC and explained all the situation in the Employer form and reference letter.

Anyways, I am still waiting for them to start reviewing my application, but hopefully it will be all good. Hope some of info helps you.

Hello! I'm also planning to apply under BC PNP International Graduate stream. But with a PGWP, any job offer I get will only be temporary. Would you have any suggestions on what companies or organisations give a Permanent job offer to a candidate who has a temporary work permit (PGWP)? Any advice or suggestions would be extremely helpful! Thank you so much.
Hi there, I would say talk to your employer and the offer being provided to BCPNP is only for immigration purposes? My employer did not even ask, so just give it a try.

Hello! Thanks a lot for your reply!

Yes I should try asking, for sure.

By the way, I didn't understand the bold part above please... could you please tell what that meant? Thank you again!

Hi guys, I intent to apply BC PNP through International Graduate stream. Do you guys have any updates for processing time? If you can, please share your apply date and receive time
I am non-EE BC IPG. I applied in two weeks ago. The application's status is still showing "applied" now.
Is there anybody has similar situation? Did you get any update?
Hope can hearing from you.

Hi folks,

Have you registered new profile EE BCPNP today? I'm shocked because of new guide and scoring system. NOC A or B, O has the same score of job level = 0. They don't give any score for NOC, I lost 26 points with the new score. I think there's good chance for NOC B (Teer 2) and who work in Area 2,3 with more than 1 yr Canadian experience. I have less than 1 year, so I cannot obtain 10 score.
Share your situation.

hello, just wanna share my experience to you. we got similar situation that the job ad was hiring position A and end up they offered me position B. Just be honest to write it on the employer declaration form. how they found you from the job application of position A and after rounds of interview, the employer think that you are more suitable for position B.
thats what I did in my BCPNP application and I got the nomination.

Hi everyone this might particularly apply to inland BCPNP nomination applicants to EE. Please, pay extra attention to EE ITA. If your ITA comes from only FSW, not CEC. Then please, make sure to submit your PROOF OF FUNDS. Otherwise, your application could be scrutinized unless you submit LMIA backed job offer. This also applies even if you are currently employed at Clase B+ NOC. Please, pay extra attention to this detail. There is a trap you can easily fall into with proof of funds exemptions! Not all exemptions apply to inland BCPNP applicants even if they might not require in BCPNP application they might require at EE if your ITA falls under only FSW! Just wanted to remind you!

Hello. That is a good advice you are bringing up!
I am waiting for my PNP BC nomination, under international graduate student - express entry. I am currently working on NOC B- not LMIA though. The job offer is the one used on PNP, but I do not have 01 year full-time for CEC purposes because most of it I was part-time student still. Therefore, I qualify for Express Entry after PNP nomination through FSW stream. That means I have to provide proof of funds, correct?

That said, do you know if is there any other exemptions of proof of funds that may be used in my case? I cannot wrap my head around that in my case, the proof of funds seems "out of the purpose", which is to demonstrate that you will be capable of settlement in Canada. I am already settled, living, studying, working paying taxes for 2,5 years already, but since most of my work here in Canada was during studies I will not qualify for CEC.

Any thoughts? thank you.

Hi there I also applied for the same stream as you and waiting for my nomination letter from BC PNP. I applied Sept 24 so it's been over 2 months. My status is still "Applied". Fingers crossed at this point.

Unfortunately, you need to show proof of funds and there are no exemptions in your case. I know it sounds stupid and illogical for inland applicants. However, IRCC could even give rejection just because of not having proof of funds. I would not recommend you take chances but include it. You can also get a gift deed from direct relatives in case you do not have enough funds. Pay extra attention to this matter.
