I can give my experience though people receive PR much faster these days. However, it took me 4 months to receive a BC nomination. Then I applied for PR and my AOR is 19 May 2021. I am still waiting for a decision. It has been 20 months overall. I guess you can consider mine as a worst-case scenario! :) I have to admit among all PNPs BC is the slowest! There are always exceptions, but in general wait times for PNP processing BC is the longest. Just consider this. Always keep the worst case in mind and plan the process accordingly. One more recommendation if you have job experience then always aim for higher and in-demand NOC. I also noticed that also makes a difference. I tried to play a safe bet and went with lower NOC and that could be one of the reasons for the delays I am experiencing now! Even though my job title with higher NOC, it is not helping much. My advice if your NOC is lower unless your degree in high tech, engineering, or medical then wait for promotions at your current job. Apply with a higher NOC class. Check also highly in-demand professions in BC and if your degree profession matches that then you can apply now. Else, wait a few more months for a promotion or look for an appropriate in-demand job. Good luck! As long as you keep the wait time expectations lower, you should be fine! :)

Status changed to in process around 2022-10-20 (someone is reviewing my application and an email to me said a preliminary review has been initiated).

I would say the processing time might be 3 months, they are so annoying.

Hi everyone, yesterday I received a message in my CIC account with the subject Express Entry - Provincial/Territorial Nomination Letter, saying BC has nominated me and giving me the option to accept or reject the nomination.

However, my application in BC PNP dashboard is still marked as in-process. I have also never received an email from BC PNP about the approval of my application, nor did I receive a confirmation of nomination letter or nomination certificate from them. What does this mean? Did they send the nomination message on CIC by mistake? I'm confused whether or not I should accept the nomination.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I think we are in the same boat, I sent BCPNP an email yesterday morning, and I received 600 points to my EE file, today BCPNP office responded to my inquiry email and said they are gonna send me an email about the final decision, which I believe is the nomination letter. The portal is still in process.

So what you need to do is accept the nomination and then you can see the 600 points added to your file.

HI folks,

I'm working in BC under open work permit, and my job is NOC A.
However, when I applied for a job in this company, the initial position I applied was QA specialist. However, after several rounds of interview, they offered me a new position as International RA specialist (NOC 1122). and I've been working for more than 6 months with this position. I'm waiting to apply for Skilled Worker - EEBC and expect my score will be invited soon (mine is 112, the last invitation - score 114- Oct 12).

I've sent the check list to my HR and they're ready to support with all documents, except recruitment effort. She said she could mention something (like efforts) on the form, but the company does not have recruitment adv for my current title. Is it possible to be accepted? if you're in similar situation, how did you do with this document ?

Many thanks.

Hello! I'm also planning to apply under BC PNP International Graduate stream. But with a PGWP, any job offer I get will only be temporary. Would you have any suggestions on what companies or organisations give a Permanent job offer to a candidate who has a temporary work permit (PGWP)? Any advice or suggestions would be extremely helpful! Thank you so much.
