BC/PNP + FSW pilot + Backlog --- waiting nomination

count me in the waiting list.. I submitted my application on 14th Aug and received the AOR on 7th Sep, now I am still waiting.. However, i have to say that the chance of me being nominated is slim..I am currently working in Vancouver as a graphic and web designer on a working holiday permit. I came to Canada after my graduation in Hong Kong from a 3 years higher diploma. Luckily I got my first job(graphic design job at a magazine company) 2 weeks after I arrived Canada. I worked there for a half year on a part time bases then i quitted, mostly because my boss was an arse hole. and due to some reasons, I can't get any letters from them to prove my employment in that company(I stated on my application that i worked part time in that company at that period of time). 2 weeks after I quitted my first job, I found my current job at a local media design company which has a good reputation and employment record. I love my current job and my boss finds me beneficial to the company since I have experience in dealing with the Asian market. So, my boss agreed to offer me a permanent position and fully support my PNP application. Although my boss has stated clearly in the job offer letter that this is an entry-level position and I have matched all the requirements of the duties in my job, I still cant prove to the visa offier that i have the basic requirement of 1 year full time work experience in this field (they didnt ask me to prove anything nor even contact me or my boss for further information thus far). My work permit is gonna expire next month and now my work experience is my only concern that could possibly hinder my nomination although I have a rather decent online portfolio. ps: I have a sound income and finacial status.

you are welcome to share any thoughts on my case and finger crossed for all of us..~!

guess you are under normal BC/PNP procedure, instead of FSW backlog.
we're applicants who have been waiting for 4 ~ 5 years.... ??? ???

Btw,your nomination should be on the way, since you have had AOR.... :-*

Why this Oct. 31st, 2012 deadline? Is this the deadline for cases to be finalized?

Oct.31 is the due date BC promised to finalize our cases...

But maybe, that day is the day to send out Rejection Letter.... ??? Who knows?

Btw, your friend is waiting for nomination,also?

Yes. he is a 2004 applicant and selected for BC PNP (I guess this a pilot project) and asked to re-submit all the documents earlier this year. He was requested to give IELTS again (as earlier IELTS has expired) which he gave in August this year. Now, waiting to hear back something from them.

Aug 1st was the last day to submit the IELTS result with BC PNP in this category.

I guess he sent IELTS results around 2007 and then re-request came again in July, 2012. He wanted to take IELTS as soon as possible but no dates were available so he gave in August (I believe same was informed to authorities) and sent results immediately. Not heard anything after IELTS results submission.

I called yesterday on helpdesk and they confirmed that selected applicants would get informed by post after decision on Oct 31st.
It would be near mid of Nov that selected applicant would be reciving the nominations and we would not be able to confirm on phone

Now Let's wait for another 10-15 days>>> Good luck to all and cheers!

Thanks Roxxane for the update... it seems, we have to wait a little bit longer. Anyway, what is 2 weeks compared to 4 months. Just be patient group... hoping for the good news to all of us. CHEERS...
