Bangladeshi Applicants for Sponsoring Spouse Only

I sent my spousal sponsorship application through DHL from Bangladesh, because currently I am living with my husband in Bangladesh. Today I got a text from DHL stating that my file has been delivered. So my question is how will I know that cic received my application? Will they contact us via mail? If so, how many days would it take them to inform us?

we collected visa and expiry of the visa is Aug 2015 (One year after the day we did re-medical i.e Aug 2014)

My observation is SVO returns pp on priority basis to those who do not get re-medical because their time is close that their medical will expire soon.

It took 10 months to complete to get the visa and now-a-days the time is coming down to 5/6 months for Singapore Visa Office.

Wish you all that your journey to get visa be smooth and quick i.e by 5/6 months.

My wife's application finally went to In Process with a note added in ECAS "We started processing XXXXXXX's application on November 7, 2014".

From reading everyone's comments, I should be receiving a PPR by mail within two weeks right? And how had been the Passport return times for Bangladeshi applicants these days?

Hopefully yours will go to In Process soon too. From what I have seen in this forum they don't follow orders in processing, it all depends on the visa officer assigned to the specific case.

It is said that -

Supply nine (9) recent photos taken in the last six months for you and each family member. Follow

In Appendix B, it did not say anything about writing name and DOB in each photo (total 9 copies) and also writing the date of picture taken.

When i check this reference - "see Photos in section on completing the Application for Permanent
Residence in Canada"
I found following - "bear the date the photo was taken (not the date the photo was printed) directly on the back (stick-on labels are not acceptable)."

That means i have to write down the date photo was taken (in all pictures?). Also did not say anything about writing name and DOB each photo.

Can you provide me the exact instructions about this or any reference link? So confusing.

I applied for my spouse in Feb 2013. Missisuaga office received my application on March 1,2013. They sent my application to Singapore office on march 28,2013. Remediacl asked by Phillipines office on feb 7,2014 and done on Feb 25,2014. Additional documents asked by Singapore office on feb 14, 2014 (my daughter's birth certificate, travel documents of us, communication record for last two years). Additional documents received by Singapore visa office on March 11,2014. I also sent a letter notifying my new address. In online status I found they changed my address but my status is still "application received". Can any one please tell me what does it means?

Hi everybody,

My wife got an email just 3 days ago with an interview call. She will have to face the interview in Dhaka at the end of January. In the checklist, among all other documents, the SVO advised her to bring Household Registry or Family Book (civil documents). Not sure what this mean. Can somebody clarify this?

There are few spelling mistakes in my wife's parent’s names in her school/college transcripts and mark sheets (not the same spelling shown in her passport and birth certificate). Will it be a problem?

Someone advised me to mention those misspelled names in the nickname sections and submit updated forms at the time of interview. It sounds good and easy to me. Can anybody please suggest me in this regard?
