I was asked to send some updated forms that i did. 45 days after sending, there was no response so i sent a mail asking how long may it take further for MR. Got a reply that no timeline can be given as process is too lengthy. Also they clearly told that no MR will be issued unless background checks are done and it may take considerable amount of time. Can someone tell that usually how long does it take in such cases before MR is issued. How crucial is this stage, how optimistic one can be at this stage and what is it that is usually checked at this stage !!
I have also one confusion that in some cases MR is sent alongwith updated forms request. In that case how come MR is issued, while background checks are still mid way as they are sending the updated forms request also. I will appreciate if some one is passing through this stage or having good info about the subject. I applied in July'11.
