Routine Background Checks

Hi Friends,,
I've posted the full documents (with IELTS and PCC) to CIC October last year. I've been also asked to fill in the summary information form and posted it on June this year. I emailed the CIC a month ago to ask about my application, they replied by: it is currently undergoing routine background checks. We will contact you as soon as the results of the background checks have been received. the question is how long roughly this process needs?

Hi,

You mean CHC because CIC is Nova Scotia,Sydney were you sent your first application not your full documents under old rules. What is your visa office it depends on your background if you have done alots of travelling then it could take time as well, if you tell us the visa office then we can tell you the average time, also tell us when you application status was changed to "in-process"
