Hello Friends,
Can Anyone tell me when I will get my PPR after having following email from my VO? When VO says within 4 weeks, does it mean that he will definitely contact me within 4 weeks? Hope you will advice me on this. Thank you.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please be advised that your file is currently undergoing further checks. We will contact you once that is completed, we anticipate being able to contact you within the next 4 weeks.

Regards,
SJM
Definitely, since they are saying 4 weeks so be assured that they will....because usually they dont give any timeline, since in your case they have given so I am pretty sure it will not cross forth week..cheers

Dear guys
It took long long time for me now 9 months passed from med exam and untill now no PPR,

BTW last email LVO sent me background check will take several months till complete
Why they didnt mention how many months and they leave it open in several months???

Dear Forum members;

I need your precious advice on my following status.

'I submitted my application in Nov 2009 for NOC code 4131, docs were sent to visa office London in April 2010. Processing commenced in Feb 2012, they asked for updated docs including PCCs' which were sent in July 2012. Original docs also returned by CHC in Sept 2012 with no concerns. Docs for new born submitted in Nov 2012. Since then I have not heard from them. I have not been asked for medicals and RPRF. I sent two inquiries with a gap of one month but no response from CHC London.

I requested for GCMS/CAIPS notes which revealed that 'My medicals were requested in July 2012 but I never received them. They once intimated that through email that medical request is sent to me but after two days another email was received by CHC indicating that no medicals are requested. The caips notes also indicate a remark from visa officer in which he asked his assistant to scan the updated forms and PCC's and send to him. After that there is no progress. I have been declared eligible in CAIPS notes. Does this mean that my background checks are 'ON' without medicals and RPRF. If not, what could be the possible reason for delay.

Has this type of progress been witnessed by any other fellow. Kindly share your comments to help me understand my status.

They usually don't give any definite timeline at this stage. I also got a reply saying that background checks are on and may take a considerable amount of time and that they will contact me as soon as they are able to. Just have to wait. But little worried in your case as 9 months is enough time for background checks. Seeing different timelines I have learnt that in usual cases they take from two to six months max. You need to send email to your VO, in most of the cases they are prompt in replying.best of luck
