Also while going through a nice description on Security Checks, I got a bit unclear on connection between "PPR & Security Check"

Culmination: Only upon security clearance we receive the PPR ---> Means PPR happens only after Security Clearance is over

HOWEVER

Stage 3: Issue of PPR* > Send Passport/s > Security Check > Visa/s Stamped ---> Means Security Check happens after VO gets PP??

This seems to be contradicting, can anyone (It'd be great if Qorax can) help in clarifying this confusion??

Apart from standard timelines, we also move with our destiny-lines creating the difference in the way things actually turn up for us!
Especially after one submits PP, RPRF Fee etc. which seems to be the last leap, turns the heat to max. where holding patience get's really tough.

In my case, after my e-cas status turned "Medical---------Received", I got a letter to submit PP, RPRF & Updated Contact No and that's it.
My VO didn't mention anything like 6 weeks (as I saw in case of some applicants) or any other timeline to expect the return of our Passports.
( I hope this 6 Weeks or so is not any standard)

I wish to know that:
1) Do VO inform the applicant prior to returning the PP with Visa? If yes, how do they generally inform? via e-mail or call??
2) How PP are generally sent back to applicants?

rgds

1. No.
2. Thru courier, usually, based on the returning arrangement we organize while submitting our pps.

1. PPR is issued by PHEP section, who 'only' gets activated when our security clearance is sent.
2. After the pps r recd@VO, they render a 'secondary/final' security check over the 'original' pps@their hand.

Thanks for your quick reply and I apprecaite it!

In my case, there was no "returning arrangement" basically and this is what that worries me.

After my medical results were received, I got a letter from my VO to send all documents (PPs + RPR Fee + Updated Contact No.) which I did via DHL and that's it.

It seems that sending back passport arrangements differs from VO to VO and I don't know what could be in my case...perhaps a registered post or something??

Thanks Qorax......

Am I right to interpret "when our security clearance is sent" as Security Clearance has been obtained OR it has basically started??
There are Applicants saying that it's been even over 6 months since they submitted their PP to VO and there has been a dead silence since then.....

Also in my case, I had to make a new passport in the meanwhile as the one that I used to apply for PR got full.
So I sent both Passports (old & new) with an explanation letter...I hope it was right way.

kindly clarify on these...

Hi,

It's a std line suggesting u need to wait... ur file might be in 'queue'... pls wait for ur turn. Remeds usually suggest that ur case was held up with security clearance... however that response of ur IO suggests that it must have got cleared.

Qorax
*Happy New Year to u too, my friend.

That's very likely.
