Hi,

I got a question about background check. My previous company was shut down, and it is the only place where i can get reference letter from.
what can i do? does it have to be the letterhead of the company?

It is not a problem if you can get reference letters from your former:
immediate supervisor;
head of the department;
head of HR;
president of the company;
your colleagues;
your clients;
people whom you had business contacts with while performing your duties. You can track them down via search engines or social networks. I managed to find almost all of whom I worked with since 1986 except one person, but I didn't need to because I had a reference letter anyway.

In addition you can submit anything to prove that you performed your duties:
documents;
materials;
pictures;
printed matter such as catalogs, company brochures and/or leaflets.

Dear Qorax!
Over 1 n Half months passed & still the status is the same. Moreover, they have not even returned my Educational Documents yet.

Should i send another Enquiry?

Dear Qorax!
As advised by you, I sent a case specific inquiry to London V.O. Following is the response:

Dear Applicant,

This refers to your recent message.
Please be advised that your application is awaiting the review of an Immigration Officer.

Yours Sincerely,

NXR

What is your view on this :)

Why should they return your Educational Documents?

Dear Captain

I got my GCMS note and very surprised to know that they didn't count my maternal uncles point. As a proof I have send my mother's birth certificate, copy of my mother's passport, my uncle's passport, permanent resident card and his proof of address. Now I am worried about new rules from 1st of July which might be applied to all previous applicant. I might not get enough points at that time. At the moment I have enough point (73). I have done my medicals February this year.

Should I send any further documents? Appreciate your valuable comment on this.

Hi,

1. Never submit any addnl docs unless they've been asked.
2. With ur meds, it's expected that ur b/g checks r over & u have been found eligible for PR.

Relax!

hi qorax,
i got my PER IN mid-april. by your experience when will it be received by visa office? and from there in how much time should i expect my PR? (conditions apply ofcourse,if everything goes well).. my all documents are well organised,presented,complete and authenticated(most imp).. just an approx idea to above queries...
and just bit curious to ask..will they put my file(MI3) aside once MI5 applicants start popping in...?
thanks and regards
cheers!!!!

[/quote]Dear Captain Qorax, after hearing all this talk about the new MI5 policy which is going to be in effect from june12,there is much buzz about the credentials matching issue ,especially of the regulated professions like dentists,doctors etc.The standard procedure was that after immigration the applicants could give the liscenture exams....Now it seems as in MI5 this step will come before the application is submitted.Only the ones passing the exam will be found elligible to apply! What is your view on this...also please elaborate what will become of the MI3 applicants still waiting for MR's .
Regards,
Earlyopter :)

Dear Qorax,

In my CAIPS, ECU has been requested to issue MR, PPR & RPRF. Does that mean Interview is waived, New PCC not required, Updated POF not required and there is no additional documents request?

Other thing I noted is in funds it is written as $000000. What is it? Kindly share your views on the same.

Thanks in advance.
