Police Clearance Certificate from USA

Hi,

I am an Indian Citizen. I stayed in US for a year in 2009-10. I want to apply for Canadian PR now. While going through the guidelines I found out that I have to obtain a police clearance certificate from all those counteries where I have spent more than 6 months continuously.
Right now I am in India and I want to obtain a police certificate for my stay in US.
I have the following queries if someone can help :

1) Is it possible to obtain a police certificate at this stage now?

2) What is the procedure?

3) Will the US embassy in New Delhi of any help?

Waiting for your replies guys,

Thanks,

Jagga Daku

I AM SO SCARED AND WORRIED WHETHER I SHOULD SEND PASSPORT WITH COVER LETTER NOT OR WAIT FOR THEIR REQUEST??????

I DECIDED TO TAKE ADVICE FROM ALL OF YOU BEFORE I TAKE ANY DECISION.

I HOPE YOU GUIDE ME.

Dear QORAX

I am reading your posts since last month. Firstly thanks for all the information you share with other people . Kindly give me your idea on my immigration case :

I am Iranian national and lived in Canada for the past 6 years under work and study permit . I applied under CEC class back on September 2010 .everything was fine until July-20-2011 when i have done my MED exams .since then I haven't heard from CIC .I sent Them an email last month and they replied : " we have requested background information from other governments " . Its almost 19 months since I filed my application and 9 month since I sent my medical .

Do you have any idea about my case ? What do you suggest ?

Thanks for your time in advance .

It's obvious that ur security clearance/s haven't been received yet... unless that occurs u r unlikely to receive ur PPR. Unfortunately nothing much can be done by the applicant on that front... u'd require to wait... but keep ur prayers on.

Dear Qorax

Thanks for your quick reply .... I am so stressed out :( and keep thinking about it 24/7 but keep my prayer on and keep dreaming . Would you please tell me
1 .how long more I may have to wait for ppr ?
2. Is there any chance of refusal after medical and such a long waiting time ?
3. does it help if I hire an immigration lawyer instead of my current immigration consultant ?

Thanks so much
