Background check stage

I called IRCC to ask about the background check which is stuck at - in progress and rest everything else is completed on tracker (Biometrics, Medical and Eligibility)
They told me my PVO is Sydney and SVO is Ottawa.
Security check : not started
Criminality check : Passed
Info sharing - In progress

How long will it take for background checks to complete at this point?

There isn’t a set timeline since it depends heavily on your specific application, how your visa office is handling it, and whether there are any pauses before work resumes.
