Hi guys,

I have been a permanent resident since 2012 and sent off my permanent residency renewal at the end of February 2018, it was received late that month but as of yet I'm still waiting for a confirmation of my application to be processed.
I live in BC and have travel plans to drive into Seattle at the end of May 2018. My question is, will I have a problem driving through border control with my expired PR card? I don't yet have my PR renewal confirmation so I don't have anything to show the border apart from my landing documents. Desperately trying to find some help, I will only be in the US for 4 days so not long enough to apply for the travel document.

Any wisdom/advice truly appreciated.
Thank you

No problem. Just tell the CBSA officer the date you sent your application for PR card renewal.

Is that enough to get in/out?
To get to USA, you need your passport, EVUS, visa, etc.

To return to Canada, show your expired PR card and say what I mentioned above to the CBSA officer.
