Hi,

I won my spouse federal appeal in Dec 2016. I also need a Arc from Delhi.. Do you know how long it is taking these days from Delhi embassy?
Congratz on winning the appeal.
As for ARC, it really depends of each case, it might take a month or a year (like mine) or some other members 2 years.

Hi,

Today we received this below email from CIC. I am confused if I need ARC or not.. when they will ask about ARC.. Any idea guys?

1. An updated application kit which must include the following:

a. IMM 0008 - Application for Permanent Residence for yourself;
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM0008ENU_2D.pdf
b. IMM 5669 - Schedule A - Background Information for yourself and all your dependants over 18 years old;
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5669E.pdf
c. IMM 5406 - Additional Family Information for yourself and all your dependants over 18 years old;
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5406E.PDF

2. An updated IMM 5476 - Use of a Representative form, if you are designating a representative. If you are no longer using your previous representative, please complete Section C of IMM 5476 to cancel your previous representative.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5476E.pdf

3. A copy of the biometric page of your and any dependants’ valid passport.

Please note that your passport must be valid for at least 6 months prior to your entry to Canada.

4. A new Medical Examination as per the instructions on our website. If the medical report form (IMM1017) is not included in this letter, it will be sent to you in an email shortly. Please note that it is possible to complete an upfront medical examination. For more information visit: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp.

5. Updated Police Certificates from all of the countries you have resided in for 6 months or more since you turned the age of 18 years old. Dependants aged 18 years old and over are also required to submit police certificates.

6. You can pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee online by visiting: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en. Once the payment process is complete, the web site will display your official receipt in PDF format. Please send the receipt with your application number in the title to the following email CPCO-Cost-Recovery@cic.gc.ca.

Once you submit all the requested documents, then CIC will transfer the file to the VO to finalize the application and at that step they will request the ARC application/fees.

On the other hand, did you have an exclusion order or deportation order? Exclusion order expires in 12 months and therefore you might not require an ARC anymore if it has been more than 12 months leaving Canada. I could be wrong though but that's a guess.

I already submitted my documents like Medical, PCC, New forms and Landing fee.

CIC requested Landing fee before ARC fee.

I don't know if I need ARC or not but CIC removed me so I think I need.

I have seen ARC processed in 1 Month at Mexico City , and 1 year at Vienna it depends on your VO and there is not official timeline set by the Government .

Hello! I have been reading all the post since we submitted our application (March 17, 2016), but I never register the site.

It has been 3 and a half months since they received the ARC fee and haven´t heard anything yet (VO Mexico) This is so frustrating! I´m really depressed!!! sigh!

Apparently Mexico also takes its time to give an answer! sigh!

it appears they requested your ARC very soon in the process , I have seen many people from Mexico getting an answer within 1 month .. are you applying under Family class ?

Yes, I am applying under Family class. I haven´t seen my husband since January 19, 2016. :-[ He left to Canada to Sponsor us (my 2 boys and I). We have a daughter too.

At the beginning, the process seemed to be fast, but we haven´t heard from them since Nov. We are depressed because we read that Mexico gives an answer within 1 month, according to the people who posted in this site though. I just don´t understand why it takes them too long. It really sucks to wait! Sigh!

What does the letter say? When I got it, they requested a letter and the fees at the same time. If I´m not mistaken, some places request for a letter, but not all of them. You should do exactly what they ask you to avoid misunderstanding.
I honestly don´t have a clue how long it takes to ask for your passport. I am still waiting for it....

Well, then you have to write a letter and also pay the fee. I am dealing with Mexico office :'(
We were happy at the beginning because everything seemed to be fast, but now it´s taking long...
