Hi, does anyone know if an Australian with an expired Canadian PR card, were to fly from Australia to The USA using their Australian passport and ESTA, then get a ride in a car from The US into Canada with their Australian passport, would they be denied entry at the border? Thanks in Advance!

They will be allowed in but it's possible they may be reported for failing to meet the residency requirement (if they don't).

You will be allowed into Canada but the CBSA report will trigger the loss of your PR status and you will need to appeal based on H&C considerations to keep PR.

I disagree with this.

As long as you meet the residency requirement, you'll have no issues re-entering Canada thorugh a land border.

A PRTD carries the same risks, if not more risks. If you don't meet the residency obligation, then getting a PRTD is going to be a problem. You would need to apply with H&C reasons and hope IRCC agrees.
