Congratulations!

May I ask whether they sent the COPR along with the visa on your passport? Or that usually is sent separately

They are usually sent together but read your PPR instructions carefully, if you are all visa-free nationalities (eg French), they will not need to insert a visa (you do an ETA before travelling and that with the COPR will be sufficient).

Hi Guys,

I got a pre-arrival letter today, do they ask for ADR after sending pre arrival any such cases?

As I'm American, I only needed to send in a photocopy of my passport and a couple of pictures. No visa needed for entering Canada. So via FedEx, they returned my photocopy and included the paper COPR all in one envelope. So I'm just assuming that if I had sent my passport it would have been returned with the COPR also. But I'm not sure.

What did you put on the back of your photos?
Also - what steps did you take to get your pictures shipped off? Based on what I’m seeing, we have to send an email to the VAC with a spreadsheet on it, they send us a shipping label and a link to pay for everything, and then we send it off to them? Is that correct?

Hey guys,

In Appendix A of the PPR, do we have to fill out my name (sponsor) and info in the spouse/partner row? I am already in Canada. Only my husband (PA) will be travelling.
Did you send your letter off yet? I’m a little perplexed by the guidelines for the photos and getting the shipping in order. What steps did you take?

Hi,

I am not a good example as we completely missed the VAC paragraph and just mailed it in on our own through UPS lol. So now they emailed us and we have to go through the VAC setup for the return label and stuff.. totally our fault for missing it, but we are working through it now.

But I think what you wrote above sounds about right. For the photos my spouse just went to a CVS and showed the photographer the requirements. And make sure they stamp the back (they have address stamps in the store).

I just took it to a photo place and showed them the requirements. They stamped it with their information, and then I made sure my name, DOB, and I think application number was on it (whatever it said in the instructions).

It was a bit of a convoluted process, but I filled out the spreadsheet (one way shipping), got an email with a link to pay for the shipping label and service fee, and followed their instructions on sending them back emails.

I sent my package to them via FedEx (address on the passport request form), and then they shipped me back my COPR via FedEx.

I may have missed something, as I'm just trying to remember the actual process.

Hi, all, congratulation to who already received approvals or close to final stage of the long process.

I am seeking your valuable advice on my wife' application which is somehow stuck after providing additional document of 'intent of return' on March 16, 2021.

Here's my update:

Application received: Aug 10, 2020
Police Cert request: Jan 8, 2021
Biometrics Instruction Letter: Jan 8, 2021
AOR1: Jan 9, 2021
SA: Jan 9, 2021
Medical check request: Jan 9, 2021
Biometrics Enrolment: January 22, 2021
Medical passed: Jan 25, 2021
Moved to VO: Hong Kong
Additional letter request “Intent of return”: Feb 22, 2021
Technical issue in uploading via online account: called IRCC and logged the issue within online account on March 8, 2021
Additional letter request submitted: via Web form on March 16, 2021 (since uploading was not available in our online account), submitted it by uploading when the upload function was becoming available online on April 9, 2021

The Application status and Latest update have been remaining as below,

"We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you."

"Review of medical results - January 25, 2021: You passed the medical exam."

I have just applied for GCMS notes a couple days ago but is there more that we can do/ should do. I started to concern over the application daily which there is no progress/ update for almost 3 months from the first submission of 'intent of return' via webform.
Did IRCC really receive it or they would send out the acknowledgement of receipt via email or state in our online account?
What else should I do?

Thanks a lot and appreciated.
The status of my application was updated to "Final decision - the application was completed".

FYI. Please don’t apply with just COPR. IRCC Agent on phone said we can apply with just COPR as PR cards delivery was getting delayed with COVID and was taking several months. But spouse PR application applied in August was returned in Feb quoting that they need PR card to confirm eligibility for sponsorship. Several web requests was getting no correct response too or else would have submitted PR card after I got it. Now need to start all over again and I wish it was online and not paper based.
Hi,
I am in same situation, as PR card is taking too long, thinking should we apply spouse outland sponsorhip with COPR. Did you try to submit the PR card after you got it via webform?
