Hi All, IRCC is now processing applications received in Sept 2019… my application was received in August 23rd 19. No update on my application since August 21 shen background check status was completed. So what now .? If no update, does this mean my application is been placed back to the waiting drawers …. It’s so sad that this forum is the only place where you can unload our frustration, no one cares about us.

I get a feeling that receiving an application is from the date on AOR letter and not the date when they received our applications through postal services. My application reached on August 20, 2019 but AOR letter is dated 07 November 2019. So let’s play the waiting game and see how it ends. Just chill.

I think it's when they receive the application. They say we start processing your application the date we received it. AOR is sent after checking the file is complete, which means they open it before sending the AOR

Almost 2.5 years waiting for my citizenship application to be processed. I applied on August 2019, paid +$600 processing fees, and passed the citizenship test on October 2021.
$600 should be enough to hire someone to process my application. I do not understand why it's taking too much time to process my application and why they are processing 2021 applications and not prioritizing 2019 applications.
I can’t move to another province, or get married, because that will require a reprocessing of my application again.
The lack of interest in 2019 applications is not acceptable.

Hello,

My cousin's family (5) is taking their Citizenship Oath soon, but one family member is in a different province. did anyone encounter the same thing here? how's the process? do they need to be in the same province?

Finally my application says now "Decision Made" It feels like it's almost the end but for what I've seen people have been with that status for 4+ months and still nothing has changed :'(.
