Have you called IRCC call center?

I think I will call them the day after my progress bar hits the end. only 13 days left, feeling mocked and fooled by this stupid system.
Not yet, I didn't manage to call last Friday. Will be trying today.

What details should I prepare prior to calling? My UCI / application number?

Congrats.
What is your stream and do you know your visa office?

@baltzly
I'm not able to get through. Not sure if I'm doing it right but when I'm promoted to key in my application number and year of birth, the automated voice says my application can't be found then prompts me to press 0 to speak to an officer. But once I select 0, the automated voice says that all agents are busy and no one can take my call, then the call ends. Am I doing it right?

FSW
IN MY PPR MAIL IT CAME AS
PRIMARY OFFICE=CPC OTTAWA

Congratulations.
It is somewhat of a relief to hear that your status did not change until final approval (my status is still stuck at medicals passed) and my file is also at Ottawa is what I was told a few weeks ago. But still no update on the other hand :(

Called IRCC for the first time today, managed to speak with an agent after 40minutes (I called after 10am EST).

The agent said my file was transferred from Sydney to SGVO sometime in Sept or Oct. She couldn't see anything else to update me on whether eligibility has been met etc. She couldn't even see that my meds were passed in Nov, because the file is no longer with them. Was told to contact SGVO if there are no updates after my 6 month mark.

Oh I see. I think they were telling the truth as they usually cannot see your detailed information anymore once your file has been transferred to an overseas VO. You should email them to find out more info now. Why not consider ordering notes at the same time?
Is the application being transferred to the local office a good sign, or just a normal process to distribute workload?

I was thinking of calling my local VO tomorrow, the agent probably thought I'd do so too, because she told me that my local office will tell me the same thing, to call back after 6 months if I were to try calling them for updates.. hahah.

Also how can I order notes?

As far as I know, this is a usual step for all outland applicants and it doesn't tell how much progress has already been made. The only thing we know is that your R10 and medical have been done by Sydney before the transfer.

You could try getgcmsnotes.com or other similar websites that are popular on this forum:)

As to calling them, I don't have any experience as to how to contact an overseas VO. You could search for this info on this forum as many folks have done so.

To be honest, even after we have passed the 6-month mark, I still don't believe they will provide a valuable response. We should only expect a generic reply such as it is still in progress, it needs additional verifications, it is in queue to be reviewed by an officer and blablabla.
Thanks @baltzly ! I will give those websites a look. Hahah you are right about the generic replies... Just give us some concrete updates!!

I hope SGVO will be fast, I've been seeing some comments that they tend to take more than 6 months to process applications. We shall see.

I have seen more and more "security not started" cases recently, so I suspect that CBSA doesn't not immediately initiate security check after eligibility is done. Instead, it has to consider the large number of cases that are currently open but not finalized yet and postpone the opening of new security cases.
Is their still a chance that once CBSA opens my file they will initiate SS instead of a basic security check which will take another 6months?

Also I personally know someone who applied for his PR earlier in 2019 through CEC and got his PR in less than a month.
I don’t know why this discrimination for only some files

Hi @baltzly , thank you for your inputs sir. Just trying to understand ... some of them posted in last couple of months here that their file moved to CPC’s from Sydney after eligibility assessment also. Is it like work load distribution or anything else. As far as i read, file transfer to cpc’s (and then to LVO’s) after initial assessment like r10 and medicals.
