The applicants UCI number won't work until after sponsorship approval and when the office has started working on the 2nd part if the application.

I actually called back and they were kind enough to give me the application # but did inform me of the same thing. That it will not show anything online until it is in process. However, the agent did say that with this # it is easier to find the application in the future if I call again for any reason. Rather than having to give names and dates of births etc... for them to find the application.

So after 77 days of no activity on my file, I finally got a status change yesterday from nothing to ''we received your application AUG 11" so what in heaven sake does that mean?

Like it took them 2 months to receive the application. by the way, I already had a client ID. so now the confusion is the note was written in two different parts, for sponsorship application and permanent residence application. they both had the "We received note" so now the question is... are they just acknowledging the receipt of both application, or has the application progressed from step 1 to 2, or are the two applications being processed at the same time? this is more confusing because I already had a client ID, and you clearly stated that you wont get any update on your file if you don't have a client id and you don't get a client id until your after sponsorship approval. Just tiring not to get worked up actually called CIC already, but no response.. was honestly hoping that after waiting for 77 days, the first communication would be an SA. Not complaining though :-X

So confusing... The person I spoke with said that my husband should have already received an email fro Mississauga after she said they have not requested any more documents. My understanding of that information would be SA was approved and they should have contacted us. But because she could only tell me information in regards to my application that was all the information I got.

I would say you have been approved. Sometimes they send approval through snail mail and I have heard of some people recently not getting any notification of approval. Best bet is for your hubby to call the non-800 number (assuming he is outside of Canada) and tell them he wants a copy of his sponsor approval. I suspect you would hear quickly after that.

Thanks for the insight. He is the one inside Canada, so Monday morning he will be calling to get things moving.
Thanks again

I mailed the application on Aug 10. I didn't get "Received your application on Aug 11", instead I got "Received your application on Sep 11" because I mailed out the updated forms on Sep 11. Guess you are still lucky than me. Don't worry :)

I have never applied for any type of visa and got a UCI number when I phoned yesterday. However, when I use it online it says they can't find it.. I'm confused. My husband has yet to get an email stating we've received SA. Is this because I'm the applicant and not sponsor?

You have to login as the sponsor with their name, birthday date, and country along with the UCI. (not sure if anyone has answered this yet, so sorry if it is a duplicate!)

Is there an August 2014 Outland spreadsheet anywhere?? I received SA September 19th and I'm wondering if anyone else is in the same boat wondering how long it will take to get any other information. I know I'm anxious about it, but I'm hoping some of you who applied in August may have some updates yourself!

My ecas has said the exact same thing since we received SA... my applicant part only reads "Application Received"

Thanks!

Morning everyone!
Update; my husband called Immigration and spoke with a lady who gave him his UCI number and basically said.. No news equals great news. We logged on with his UCI and it says, the sponsorship application was received and the application for permanent residence was received and so were my medical results. So my opinion he was approved and their working on my portion of the application? The person we spoke to said that if we were denied it happens within the first twenty days after receiving the application. She also said that among the steps were basically passed 1,2 and working on the 3,4 part of it... I don't know what that means my husband talked to the lady not myself..

I'm on a similar boat; we didn't receive notice of SA but my portion says "we received your application on August 6th" and "medical results have been received", my VO has also contacted me(the PA) to pay the right of Permanent Residency fee which is usually towards the end of stage 2. There is no way they would have even begun to assess the applicant if the sponsor hadn't been approved.
