I'm on a similar boat; we didn't receive notice of SA but my portion says "we received your application on August 6th" and "medical results have been received", my VO has also contacted me(the PA) to pay the right of Permanent Residency fee which is usually towards the end of stage 2. There is no way they would have even begun to assess the applicant if the sponsor hadn't been approved.
Always good to hear similar stories. We've paid all fees up front. I agree though, if you weren't approved then chances are they wont continue. So I hope we both hear good news in the very near future.

Hi can anyone tell me which email to use to contact CIC.

Its taking them about 30 days to respond, your best bet it to call them. You should be able to email them from the site as well.

I mailed the application on Aug 10. I didn't get "Received your application on Aug 11", instead I got "Received your application on Sep 11" because I mailed out the updated forms on Sep 11. Guess you are still lucky than me. Don't worry :)

So true! wow..actually sent an updated form Sept 9 and they received it Sep 11! Guess I was lucky then..but menhn! The system is so unpredictable.

seems like they are taking closer to 60 days to process SA
I spoke with them today as its been 35 days since I sent in updated and about 90 since the process started.
they told me don't pay attention to the 41 days listed, its more on they are working applications from September 8...
frustration continues to build :)

My husband and I went to the US for 2 weeks to visit his mother and of course while we were gone CIC tried to contact me to let me know I was missing something in my application. (It actually was in there, just in a different section! I emailed them another copy anyway though.) I, of course, was devastated thinking I'd delayed the whole process by a few weeks. I got a bit worried when I didn't get any confirmation back about them receiving my email. So, today I decided I'd call them. I opened my email so I'd be able to give the information to whoever I spoke with on the phone...and saw another email from CIC.

I'VE BEEN APPROVED AS A SPONSOR!!! YAY!!!

So, they received our application on August 27 and I got my approval October 27! :D

Congrats! Lucky you :) :D

We had filed our application on Sept 5, 2014. We were asked for updated IMM forms on Oct 9, which we sent October 17, 2014.

Does anybody know how much more time it might take after CIC has received the updated forms.

I hate to say I told you so, but I did. The timeline on CIC website is not representative. Don't even know what it means. It is best to look at the monthly averages on the spreadsheets on this forum to give you a better (more realistic?) picture. As I've said before, the processing time was pretty fast early in the year (30s or 40s), but has been steadily slipping (and funny enough the days have been going the opposite on the CIC site LOL). But the timeline is more in line with 55-60 days looking at recent averages.

PS Remember it is average...some are faster, some slower. The August average per the spreadsheet is now over 50...yes it was in the low 40's when it started, but you need to account for everyone to give you a general sense. Just keep positive and your fingers crossed.

Best of luck!
